Default Relaxing Sunday

Morning Mates, it's Sunday and my first whole day off in over 3 weeks!
No volunteering today, just the usual housework and hopefully, some time to garden before it rains again.
Right now it is already 17C or 62F. Floridians probably think 62 is jacket weather, but to us, it's lose the jacket and bring on the shorts! Humidity is way up also, already 94%, so it will be muggy.

Yesterday was fun, I signed up what seemed like 100s of people to test drive a Ford. I got to drive a Focus, and that was fun. I also got to go on a live radio broadcast to challenge the Y's after school parents to come on out, and a few of them did! Hopefully we raised lots of money for our kids' programmes.
It was a little less active at the Ship Hector in the afternoon, the weather was not conducive to visiting the waterfront, but we did have a slow but steady stream of visitors, from as far away as Australia and Germany and the UK. I love meeting people from far away!

Well, I am going to enjoy my day off, I hope you all do too.
Extra special good wishes go out to Todd, hope you're feeling better Big Guy!

Good morning everyone:

It's a nice morning here in the "Land of 10,000 Lakes". Though it looks like some rain could be headed this way.

Today is a "do nothin" day because of my birthday. The kids should be awakening any minute. The "consensus" was that grandpa should take everyone to "Space Aliens" for his birthday so I guess that's where we're going. It's like a gimmick restaurant with an "alien" theme but it has a good menu and real food unlike the Giant Rat's pizza. Plus the kids have games they can play.

Otherwise that's it other than start packing the grandkids stuff for the cruise. I talked to my daughter last night and she asked if we could "pack her stuff too." The response was "Sorry, but I'm not going through your drawers."

I hope everyone has a great Sunday and enjoys the rest of this Memorial weekend.

Take care,

Hi Kids,
Going to be another hot day and tomorrow will be about 90...My Granddaughter is in Disney World ,and she called me this morning, we may be in a race for who has the hotter day! They are having a ball, even without good cell service at the Carribean Beach Resort. She told me they left their phones in the hotel, while they enjoy the park, but never knew what time it was.....!! I told her of that old antique, called a watch Ahhh youth...!

Today is a barbeque in the backyard,. We discovered a Brazilian Market in town, withh great wings, so that will be on the menu..Last night we had chicken wrapped in bacon,it was delicious..I think Bruce found a new market

Hope everyone enjoys the holiday, with a tip of the hat to all who serve and protect us ...

Make it a good one.

Trip, with her book & tea!

Good morning
No rest for the wicked! I have the family coming over for a cookout at 1:30. I just finished the pasta salad and the baked beans are in the oven right now. I hope everyone has a happy and blessed Sunday!

The kids had a good day at soccer yesterday. The weather was not brilliant, but at least it did not rain.

It's 9:30 here, and we've baked a batch of muffins and cleaned up the kitchen. I have time for one more cup of coffee, before it's time to cart off to gymnastics.

I've got some office work to catch up on during the day, and then it's an early dinner (not sure what yet?) and then swimming lessons for the kids at 7:30.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Good morning from a beautiful, sunny Texas. Everything is still green, but we sure could use some rain, to help it along.

I have been working in the yard, for the last couple of days. My neighbor had grass put in his yard, and had some left over. I was able to do half of my front yard with his left overs, but now must keep it wet until it takes.

Our flag is hung on the front porch, as was Jim's request. He is doing good and settling in nicely. We are so lucky that we can turn on our computers, and talk when we need to. I remember when the only communicating was by mail, which took weeks to arrive.

I think after church, I am going to take a me day. Josh will be at work, so it will be nice and quiet in the house.

I have not heard from Todd in the last couple of days. The last call I received, the cat had been found under the bed, which was a great relief for him.

I hope all of you will have a good day.

Good morning from where it is already in the upper seventies in Virginia Beach. I have already been to the store to buy the Sunday paper. (we stopped delivery of it years ago since they kept on delivering it when we were out of town, so for security reasons, I buy the Sunday paper). It's been a quiet weekend for us as we just got back from our cruise last Sunday but spent the night at one of our daughters' homes and drove to our house on Monday. Next weekend Rob and I are Atlanta bound for a friend's grandson's bar mitzvah. Hope that all my fellow cruisemates have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Beautiful day here, sun and heat, Love it. Yesterday was a first for me and oh how I enjoyed it. I was at the Senior PGA tournament in Louisville. I am now hooked on it. Don't play golf but enjoye\ watching the game. Got home around 10 pm and slept in this morning.
Today is my day. The Indy 500 is on now, the final round of the PGA comes on at 3, then the Nascar race at 5:30. The ole remote is going to get a workout. D/H is out playing golf now so it is just me and the dogs. If possible I may try and get the backyard mowed sometime today, if the races get into a lull.
Glad to hear that LuAnne talked with Todd and the missing cat has been found. I have thought about him all weekend wondering if he is doing better. I'm sure finding the cat has helped.
Everyone have a great day and a big THANK YOU to our troops, Jim is at the top of my list, for what they do to allow us to do the many things we get to do here in the USA.

Prayers for all.

Default Relaxing Sunday

A late good morning to ya!

A neighbor had a big party yesterday and hired a rock and roll band. We listened to a shrieking sax before lunch which mercifully stopped at 7:30. It wasn't the best day for an outdoor gathering, so I think people just got too cold to stay out any longer.

Keith very graciously helped with moving in the summer clothes for the season. It used to take me about half a day. he did it in under an hour.

Time for some breakfast and then a shopping trip later.

Have a good Sunday.
