This is our local hospital, and exactly one year ago last night, James was in the emergency room awaiting his new pacemaker. I would have been frantic if I'd heard this kind of news while he was in there, I can't imagine the fear of the patients and their families last night!
I agree Donna, It is a sick thing. I suspect it has to do with someone wanting power over others.
We live in a sick world, and I don't mean the colds and flu.
A few years ago I was a nurse at a nursing home, every 2 weeks a bomb threat came in. We moved over 100 residents in various stages of illness across a parking lot to the local hospital site. It involved residents, food, med carts, charts, oxygen tanks and in some cases, the whole bed, and people from the dementia unit (they were so scared we did not have 1 escapee, they all stayed in a huddle). Now, imagine the hospital E.R. with this influx. When it was determined it was safe to return, we repeated the process. This happened every payday 2 times more, so they changed payday and guess what? The call came on the new payday. They eventually found the disgrundled former employee!!
