for you music fans..Clarence Clemons, sax player for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, past away this weekend..he was 69...he was quite the character..being a Black sax player in a White rock and roll band in the early 70's when that was unheard of..but was equally as famous for playing a distinct sax style with legendary soul singers Aretha Franklin (Freeway of Love) and Luther Van Dross (This Is Christmas)
I'm sure we will soon see a made for VH1 movie about the unique friendship between Bruce and Clarence
The Big Man is probably already playing sax in Heaven with the Angel's House Band
Clarence was simply the best. One of our local radio stations played Santa Clause is Coming to Town today which felt like a strange choice at first but then I realized it was the perfect choice.
RIP
Angela Z.
