Now that the number of cruises everybody has taken has been given the exalted "sticky" status, I'd be interested to know. . .

1) What percentage of your total vacation travel do you estimate is spent on cruises?

2) How many of the United States have you visited? (provinces for Canadians)

3) How many countries have you visited?

Me. . .About 30%. . .48 states. . .60 countries
Terry. About 30%. . .37 states. . .67 countries

AR are you taking the "official" count of countries totalling 196 (193 members of UN plus Kosovo, Vatican City, and Taiwan) or Travelers Century Club which has over 300 on their list? Let me know the groundrules and I can give you the count.

1. 60% (lguesstimate based on the number of trips in the last few years)
2. 47 I have not visited Maine, New Hamphire and Vermont
3. I have no idea. I haven't kept count but it's more the 20 and less than 300.

Take care,
Mike

1. About 90% now that we live back in USA
2. 45 (missing N and S Dakota, Idaho, Montana, and Wisconsin)
3. 69 based on official list (will add four plus Antarctica on upcoming trips)

I would be at 95 on Travelers Century club going over 100 by January 2012.

Official countries. The Travelers Century Club pads like crazy so they can get more subscribers, as you know.

1. About 80-90% are cruises.

2. 48 states (missing N Dakota, Hawaii, and counting Alaska as I'll be there on Monday)

3.Lots of countries--trips to South America, Europe, Africa, etc. I have not been to Asia.

Now that the number of cruises everybody has taken has been given the exalted "sticky" status, I'd be interested to know. . .

1) What percentage of your total vacation travel do you estimate is spent on cruises?
As my life is a vacation, that's a very difficult question to answer. I'd say less than 1%

2) How many of the United States have you visited? (provinces for Canadians)
I have visited both the one United States and the one Canada

3) How many countries have you visited?

That would depend on whether you consider visits to "U.S. protected territories" as countries, and if you count repeated visits to the same country as additonal "countries visited".

1) What percentage of your total vacation travel do you estimate is spent on cruises?
90% but the last 10% aren't real vacations
2) How many of the United States have you visited? (provinces for Canadians)
Stayed in 4 States, driven through 3 others, visited one Province, plus some Caribbean islands - not bad for Brits
3) How many countries have you visited?
37 countries with 110 different ports

I don't have a clue! It seems too much like work to figure it out ! We've been here and there and loved every minute! Mostly cruising, but also visiting family and friends. Great question, though!

Fern's right. Too much trouble to figure it out. Some of it was fun, some of it not.

1) Hard to estimate a % on this one but maybe 65%.

2) I have visited all 50 States and all the Provinces in Canada and a couple of their territores.

3) Now this is a more dificult one.
So I went to the net and printed out a list of all countries in the world. The list included Areas that are not countries. Do you know there are 236 countires and outlying territories?

So I went counting and only countries. Hope I did not miss any But My Count was 136 countries that I and Helen have visited.

Gee Ray, that's really remarkable. Truly. And I know you both enjoyed every one of those journeys.

Ray, can you "cut and paste" the list of 236 countries and outlying territories? I wonder how AR and I stand on that list.

Ray sent me his list; I am up to 81 "countries and outlying territories." I don't think I will ever catch Ray.

That would be a futile enterprise for most mortals.
