I'm generally a wine drinker .... but every now and then I come accross a cocktail that captivates me.
Dinner at the Keg Steakhouse on the weekend, and I tried the BlackBerry martini. yummmmmmmmm.
According to the drink menu, it contained absolut vodka, chambord and creme de cassis. It also had some citrus juice and was muddled with mint. I wasn't a huge fan of the mint, but was so enamored with the cocktail, that I drank on.
I must learn how to make this. I emailed the keg and am awaiting a reply!

We both really enjoy Mudslide's - vodka, Kahlua Coffee Liqueur, Bailey's Irish Cream - either over crushed ice as a short cocktail, or as Cunard's Queen Victoria made it, blended with fresh cream & served in a long glass with chocolate swirls on top.
And only 30 calories per serving*

I thought exactly the same, I haven't had a grasshopper since my college years when we used to try all the cocktails we could find - some good, many not so good !!
Definitely going to be dusting off the shaker & Martini glasses this weekend.

Once in a hotel we worked our way through the cocktail menu....some were truly disgusting. My current favourite is the Hurricane, I didn't know the history of the drink until we visited New Orleans.

Actually one of the posters suggested that I should try a grasshopper on my up-coming cruise. Since she usually gives good advice I took it and really enjoyed my grasshoppers.

Henry I'm not a fan of Chocolate Martini. I don't like Chocolate in my drinks not even in my coffee...don't like any mocha coffee drinks. However the Chocolate Martini is a very popular drink that many people do like.

I was at a wedding in 2006 and they had a Martini bar .Everyone was drinking chocolate or apple martinis .

I favor Rum and usually have dark rum with diet coke.
When I have an umbrella drink I like Margarita (traditional), I developed a like for Mai-Tais during my recent trip to Oahu. I also have been known to enjoy occasional Pina Coladas.

Thursday nite is "Facebook friends sushi nite" where I will have a key lime pie martini (it's to die for )
oh, that sounds yummy! Is it just a lime dacquiri in a martini glass, or does it taste different? My tastes go to "tart" in a cocktail.
Although, I have been persuaded to partake and enjoy in those make with coconut milk. ...... which reminds me, I have a delish blender drink to share, if anyone wants the recipe. It's made with baileys and banana liquer. I think it is called a BBC and is served on Royal (I got the recipe from friends who met working on a Royal ship).

thecruisequeen read my mind! I make a mean Key Lime Pie Martini! Tastes just like Key Lime Pie...and mine really is low calorie! Second choice is a Pomerita, or a Pomegranite Margarita.
Please share! I want the recipe for the key lime martini .... especially if it is lo-cal!
