For those of you who may be interested, here's a short video of the Mass Pipe Band entrance at the Hector Festival yesterday. There were about 5 different bands, 45 pipers and drummers in all, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Hector Festival.

Also, here is a little sample of our weekly "Ceildh" or party of local musicians. Here, we have Irish troubador Jimmy Sweeney on guitar,
harpists/singers Ardyth & Jennifer on harps, local celebrity John "Spyder" Macdonald on guitar, and daughter/father duo, Alycia & Robert Putnam on fiddle and guitar, all singing of course, "Farewell to Nova Scotia".

I love the area, of course being in Clan Donald, related to a bunch of 'em. I saw the great Scottish group "Battlefield Band' a few years back in Hector.

BTW--Field Marshal Montgomery won the World Pipe Band Championship on Saturday in Glasgow.
