Oh, my. I was totally a "good girl". Going to a music festival was the last thing on my mind. I had just graduated High School and was on my way to college .

A year or two later, things changed... .

I look forward to seeing who was there!

I was right here in Lakeland Florida. I had moved down here to be with friends that summer. Later I did go back to my family in Mass. I always said I would move back to Lakeland someday. I did just that in 2007.

I was at Ton Son Nhut Air Base in Saigon, Vietnam, perhaps not the nicest place to be.

I was not far from there. I was visiting my Grandmother and Aunt in Albany, NY. A few days after I went to a cousins farm and one of my cousins had been there. Had he known I was in Albany he would have picked me up to go.

I don't know about 1969 but I can tell you where I was on Aug. 15 1988 - in the hospital giving birth to my son!

I was married a little over a year. Even if I was single, that would have been the last place I would have been., My son always wished he was born a year earlier, to be able to say, he was born in the sixties...!!

I was starting Kindergarten lol.

I do have a friend who was there. He shared a bottle of wine with Janis Joplin and had all sorts of great hippie adventures. He then moved to Haight St. in San Fran. Now he owns a tour/vacation company in Orlando and the hippie adventures continue... He's a great fun guy with a big heart.

I left Pascagoula MS that morning just ahead of hurricane Camille, on my way back to California. Camille came ashore that night and we heard about when we got to Vicksburg. The house we'd been renting about two blocks from the shore was flooded but every thing else between us and the gulf was washed away, completely. The moving van with all our belongings was still in the area, but somehow made it.

The shipyard we were building suffered heavy damage. I returned later to close out some contracts and saw how lucky we'd been.

Keith, we lived in Pascagoula for a few years. Bruce worked at Ingalls. Our daughter was born there.

I worked at J.C. Penneys as an Assistant Manager in the Men's Department but had taken the civil service exam for what was to become my career, which began that September.

Forty-two years ago, I was at a summer job working for Casser Tours in New York. They offered many one day bus tours, tours that took several days, and tours that lasted a week or more. Back then people were not so much in a rush to get places.

In the mid 60's 2 friends and I did a Casser tour to Washington DC and Virginia .It was a 3 day tour .Two of us stayed at a hotel in DC (the Manger Annapolis) .The other guy was not allowed to stay in the hotel because he was black.

Henry, right before John F. Kennedy was innaugerated, I went with my parents to Washington, D.C. because my father was on a business trip; we stayed at the Manger Annapolis. What a small world! I remember seeing the podium being constructed for Kennedy's innaugeration.
