Morning Mates, it's a dull, drizzly Tuesday here in Pictou County. We're not forecast to have any more sun for a couple of days, but at least it's not freezing...
I have a funny story about the Ship Hector, where I was giving a tour to a bunch of camp kids yesterday. We were in the dark, dank hold of the ship, with the bare nimimum of wooden bunks, barrels and buckets. Kids ask practical questions, like where did the passengers (1773) wash, and where did they go to the toilet? So I pointed out the very old wooden buckets, banded with iron. This one kid proceeds to pee in the bucket!
We were all so shocked we didn't know what to say. His counsellor was aghast and proceeded to march the kid up the ladder and outside, with the offending bucket. Of course it was me who had to empty it and disinfect it, and fortunately I have a sense of humour about these things, but it was certainly the topic of conversation about the Quay for the rest of the day!
Here is a picture of the Ship Hector. Try to imagine close to 200 people crossing the Atlantic in a storm You'll never again complain about anything on a cruise ship!
Good Morning from sunny warm Lakeland. It is 80 right now. Errands and a few chores first then pool time for me.
RD that story is too funny! Kids not only say the darndest things but they do the darndest things too.
Have the greatest day everyone.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
Good morning Donna and all to follow. Oh my. I am glad you had a sense of humor. That is funny but I'd hate to be the one to have to clean the mess. Hmm, give me a modern day cruise ship any day!
Not much going on here yet. The teen is off to her second day of senior year. First day was frustrating for her. She stopped off and talked to a favortie teacher after school then came home and unloaded on me. I hope today is better for her.
It looks like another sunny day here in Patzcuaro, Mexico. Our altitude here is 7200 feet so the temperature is almost always 72 degrees f. as a hour housebuilding is coming right along and it looks like October 1st may be our move in date.
Good morning A nice day here in the city today with rain moving in overnight and some rain tomorrow. We're off to Lake Geneva for two nights so I hope the weather hold out. Rd... That’s too funny, I guess when you have to go you have to go!
Good thought going out to Mike & Ray and those in need. Have a blessed day everyone

The telephoe awoke me at 7:45 a.m., or I would have slept in. Lunch some where and more t.v. shopping. I found one I like at Best Buy, but Keith says he doesn't like shopping there because everything is too marked up. Is $762 (on sale) too much to pay for a 46-inch Sony?
Good morning all! Been stuck at the house with a sick kid for 2 days now. Ugh. Why does a sick kid make you feel like you would rather just be sick yourself? Then you just feel bad, but don't worry and go crazy in the head, imagining all the horrible scenarios. Hope everyone else is having a better day than me!
