You had to go there huh? You mentioned that this morning, and, I just had to look up a recipe, and, then go to the supermarket and make it!!!! Oh,and thanks...it was sooo easy, and, delicious. We had no vidalia onions in the store, so, I just used sweet onions. Here's the recipe I used...This time I made it as is, but so much could be added as the reviews mention..xo
I have a party to go to on Dec 4th maybe I'll make this or if anyone has something else I could whip up to bring that would be great too. I get back from my cruise the night before and I don't have a clue as what to make but what to shop for what I need before I leave.

I may be wrong, but working in a produce dept. we were always told they come from Valdia GA, only place they are grown. Now, there is another sweet onion grown in texas, I believe 1015 they are called??
We only get Vidalia's at certain times, but the sweet onions I bought were just fine, and delish. The tart is light and a nice entree with a salad, or a side dish..I was going to dice up some ham to add but it was gone. BTW, you are right....
