Morning mates. I hope the day will be a good one. It's a cool start for us. The Weather Channel is saying we are going to have cool mornings and nice afternoons for the next week, which is typical for this time of year here.
My daughter is recovering well from having her wisdom teeth out. She had a friend come visit last night. A couple of her college friends are in for the weekend and are supposed to visit, too. Today is the day I have to change the dressing on dad's toe. I'm going to try to talk him into a shower while I'm at it. It's easier on me than giving him a sponge bath. We'll have to wait and see how it goes. It's going to be a busy day for me. I took yesterday "off" as much as I could and read a book, so I have to make it up today.
Good morning all from a over cast Texas. It sure has cooled off for us, and the sunshine is once again our friend, and not something to avoid.
I am still trying to get things back in order, after our trip. Lord the clothes I have had to wash. I think they are mulitiping in the basket.
Jim is a hunting guide this year, so he has to be on the field at 2:30 in the morning, to lead the soldiers out to the hunting area, and has to wait at night until they are all accounted for, so I will be spending a lot of time alone in the next couple of weeks. Not a problem, since I have a new book, and my Kindle Fire should be here next week sometime.
Good news abour your daughter, Moiraine. thank Heaven the young heal quickly because that is a major, not to mention painful, procedure but at least now it's behind her.
Being a true caregiver is so awfully hard. I so wish you had more help. You're certainly an Angel if ever there were one.
I have to run into the paper and get some copies for Larry's family. My column this week took up three quarters of a full page.
Today will be one of reflection for me.
Blessings upon all and prayers continue.

We too have cool mornings but the sun is up and shinning bright now. We were on the road last night to Springfield, Ohio, where we had a packed house dancing. It was a great evening, just a long drive home. Tonight will be an even longer drive as we are heading to Canton, Ohio, Just hope the crowd is good there also. Thought about just getting a hotel and staying overnight after the dance but D/H and his golfing buddies have a 1 pm tee time tomorrow so will have to get back for that. The good thing about him being gone tomorrow I will have control of the TV remote and will be able to watch the NASCAR race without trying to watch 2 football games and a golf tournament at the same time. D/H is a channel surfer when he is here. There are only 2 more races for the season and I sure don't want to miss the action. My guy is closing in on the points lead and I will need to be cheering my heart out for him.
Todd, hope all went well for you these past few days. I can't imagine what you all have been through. Praying for all.
Moraine, youth is great when you need to heal. They bounce back fast. I fully understand what you are going through with your Dad. I have something similar going with my Mom right now. It gets hard but we must do it.
LuAnne, laundry does multiply in the basket, I'm sure of that! Hope your trip to Vegas was great and did you win millions?
It's a prettier day here today in my area of Texas...But alas, I have an entire house to clean before my holiday company arrives. They will be here this coming Friday and I just have a ton of things to do. I am such a procrastinator!! At least I got the lawn out of the way!
Good evening from a low 50's in Virginia Beach. This morning I headed to Kohl's because I had garnered a 30% off coupon in the mail. Of course, I bought some things for the kitchen that I really didn't need but who can resist a sale? Rob and I finished shopping for the grandchildren for Chanukah, yesterday. It was nice to finally take advantage of a free meal for Rob because he is a Vietnam veteran at the Texas Steakhouse. Tonight Rob and I met friends for dinner at Applebees. It is nice to garner a 10% discount since Rob and I are over 55. Hope that all my fellow cruisemates are enjoying their weekend. Thoughts and prayers go out to those in need.
