Morning Mates,
Nice to be back home again after a whirlwind few days in Montreal. It was a good trip, but the absolute highlight was the concert by Justin Hines, and the best part was getting to meet him afterwards!
Not only is he a wonderful performer, singer/songwriter, but just a warm, humble, wonderful human being as well. He actually acknowledged me from the stage because he had read on facebook that I was coming to Montreal all the way from Nova Scotia, 20 hours by train!
Watch for his PBS special, and check him out on You Tube, he's a delight to listen to!
While in Montreal, I managed to visit some of my family and friends, and loaded up my suitcase with Montreal-style Bagels to bring home! Mmmmm they are good!
Today I am off back to the airport (1 1/2 hrs. away) because apparently I left behind my driver's license and must go pick it up.
Hi Kids,
Bright sunshine and warm today, don't know if I will go out and enjoy it, as I had a bad day yesterday, so we'll see.
I just watched a segment on Black Friday[ugh] I had a taste of the traffic and shopping mania on Veterans Day, and I can see now, I will avoid any shopping area on the weekend, and if I go, I will do it bright & early in the am! Even though my Mass vanity license plate says shop*r, I don't live up to it anymore. I pass the tiara
Donna, so glad you enyoyed your trek & your concert. I mentioned this to Todd in the bagel thread, but take some cream cheese, and chop up sone red onions and scallions, toss in about a teaspoon of milk and mix....voila... delish, with a crunchy bagel, and the morning thread.
Make it a good day.

Morning mates. It's warmish out but partly cloudy. I'm not sure if it knows what it wants to do yet. I somehow kept my energy up yesterday and got a lot done. I hope that I'll be able to have a slow day today, although the to do list looks pretty long.
Donna, I'm glad that you had a good time. Those bagels look yummy.
Trip, hope you feel better today. I ordered my dad a soft miceece blanket yesterday. I hate crowded stores. I used to do a lot of my holiday shopping early to avoid them. I'm still going to avoid them.
Its a very windy and cloudy day in Hunsville, AL. Arlene is still with her mother in Orlando for an indeterminate time. So, another day of cleaning, laundry, work, and (hopefully) a great race for me. I have been doing pretty good raiding the freezer and pantry so far; in another week or ten days I am going to have to do a serious shopping trip.

Morning from the Pacific Northwest..........another windy day........
Trip...........I'm off to the grocery store in a bit to buy bagels.....red onion & scallions.........that sounds sooooo good.........hioe ya don't have to toast the bagel......I prefer cold.........
Well, today I'm laid low with I guess what we call the "Common cold." If so, it's a "duesy" of one and I can't stay up more than thirty minutes or so.
BTW if you're familiar with that phrase but don't know its origin, it refers to one of the finest and most expensive automobiles ever made in this country back in the thirties, the "Duesenberg."
Guess I'll watch the Phoenix race from bed instead of doing a planned general cleaning of the house. Come to think of it, sometimes it pays to be under the weather.
Those bagels look delicious R/D and I can't wait to get to the store and get if only some frozen ones so that I can try Trip's spread. It sounds down right addicting!
Obviously and for many reasons, I'm glad this week has drawn to a close.
Prayers and Blessings continue.

Good morning all from a veryyy warm Texas. We are due to go up into the 80's today, and then the big storm, whatever that means. That is what it is being called.
Donna, Glad to see you back, and sorry about the license. Have a safe trip. Speaking of Bagels. While in Vegas we went to the Carnigie Deli. I always wanted to go to the one in NY, but this will do until then. The waitress came by with food, and Josh happened to notice. He said "What is that" I told him it was tong. He wanted to know who's.
Toddy, The world is trying to catch up with you. Take your meds, take a nap, and let the world take care of itself for the day. Love you..
Trip, I hope you get to feeling better. Have you been reading on Amazon about all the talk of the Fire? Things sure are buzzing over there. I am getting a little concerned about the back lighting for reading. I sure hope it won't be a problem.
Marc, Is something wrong with your MIL? I hope she is well.
I just got back from work and seeing the picture of those delicious bagels Rollerdonna brought back from Montreal is already making me hungry! Glad that you had a great time in Montreal at the concert. Todd hope you are feeling better and Henry; glad you got to eat some great Italian food. I know that I am going to have to watch myself these next couple of days because Thanksgiving is a food frenzy! Hope that everybody had a great day!
