Morning Mates, it's Monday again, but feels like another Sunday to me, since I have the day off!
After the busy few days I've had, I need it!
My drive to and from Halifax yesterday was delightful, open highway, sun shining, and 3 hours of Justin Hines in the CD player. What a difference from the stressful, slow driving in traffic and construction in Montreal.
Today will be housework make-up day, all that did not get done this weekend..
I'm off now to enjoy a yummy bagel for breakfast!
Good morning Donna, and those to follow. It is a dull morning in Texas. So warm, we had to close up the house and turn on the air. Storms are suppose to start earlier today.
I have to weigh in this morning after our trip to Vegas. I am sure I have done some damage, but it's time to face it, and do something about it. Wish me luck
I also need to get things ready for Goodwill. We are once again starting to look like Sanford and sons.
I hope all of you have a good day, and a wonderful week.
Hi Kids,
Glorious weather here, and I post here, as I take my last bite of my bagel
Monday seems to be the chore day, huh! I just threw a load in the washer, with 2 more waiting. We have one of those newer washers, which I hate. On ours it seems you cannot just do a short wash, which just drives me crazy. I want my old one back!
The septic truck is coming today..oh joy. My dogs barking, the smell oh my....a day in the life of Trip
Here is a picture of my Luciana's red curls.....red sausages Make it a good one......

Another windy day here. The good thing is all the leaves that were on my back deck are now in the neighbors yard, sorry! We had another of our busy weekends with traveling to and from dances. Had a good time but boy was I tired yesterday. D/H played golf in the afternoon while I helped my youngest niece celebrate turning legal, 21. Had a small get together for cake and ice cream. My gift to her was a nice bottle of wine. I want to make her a wino like me!
I was up early and hit the floor running. Laundry is done, 2 bathrooms are cleaned, kitchen is cleaned and now I can rest. I have having lunch with 2 clients who are good friends also. They have pics of their Scotland & Ireland trip I sent them on in August to show me. It should be a fun afternoon for us. This does mean the D/H is on his own and will be in charge of the grandaughter when she gets home from school. Hope he can use the microwave to make her some pizza rolls as she is always starving after school.
RD, glad you had such a good time in Montreal and that you have the day off to catch up. Enjoy it.
LuAnne, good luck at the weigh in. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the damage is minimal.
Trip, love the pic of Lucy. Such beautiful curls.
Good morning from Virginia Beach where it is supposed to be in the 70's today. As usual I went to the gym. In a little while, I will meet a friend for lunch but will make a stop at the drug store to see what is on sale. I am laying off the bagels for awhile because I know that on our cruise, departing December 5th, out of Baltimore, I will have a bagel every morning for breakfast along with the lox! Thoughts and prayers go out to those are "under the weather".
Good Morning cruisemates from sunny Scottsdale, AZ.
Out on my patio perch enjoying several cups of coffee while watching a golf tournament pass "my hole".
Had golf friends in town and for the past 5 days we played every day. I'm exhausted (in a nice kind of way). Taking today off to do "home stuff" as I have a new round of golf buddies arriving tomorrow, and have games scheduled Tues, Wed. Fri., with dinners out with wives Wed. and Fri.
Then next week have different friends coming to town for a week. It's looking like a busy winter for snowbird friends.
This retirement life suites me. Just hope I don't run out of money, before I run out life
Figured I'd try my own remedy (see "Sick and Tired" thread) so I went at it full throttle. Now I'm really PO'd. Not only did it take me two and a half hours just to swiffer and vacuum, I was utterly and totally exhausted. I need to mop the tile now but there's no way I can do it. How I envy your energy Sue. At some point, I am going to restore my own.
I'm afraid my condition is directly tied to my E/F rate which is currently somewhere between 20-25 as opposed to the standard 50-60. But I absolutely totally refuse to be anything near an invalid and will push as hard as I can and hope things improve. At any rate, it'll get done...it always does.
Yes Trip, Lucy does have gorgeous red curls! DeAnna had the same thing when she was Lucy's age. Now she's all grown up but the red hair remains even if the curls don't.
Late this afternoon I'm driving into town and Camellia, our good friend whom Fran and I usually had over for Sunday din-din is driving us up to Johnson City where I'm treating to The Red Lobster. Maybe I'll have an appetite.
I love you too Luanne and thank you Sue ever so much for the sentiment. We'll get together at some point, have no fear.
Blessings upon all and Prayers for those on my list continue.

A very late good morning. The sun is shining, the second load of wash is doing, and the oak tree has a fungus. One trunk has to be removed immediately, or the whole thing will die.
Cute pic of Lucy's curls, Trip.
Todd, sometimes we just have to tell ourselves, "It'll wait." Please take good care of yourself.
