Default Ray is in the hospital

Ray is in the hospital with pneumonia. I spoke with him about an hour ago and the nurse came in before I could get the name of the hospital. He is doing okay and hopes to be out in a few days.

I'll check back with him later and get the name of the hospital and room number.

Now I have to shower and get to Church.

I just spoke to Celeste, and she says it's hard to keep a good man down He'll be in till they say it's all good. I should have thought to ask for the hospital, but, I told her to tell him we all love him and to get well soon.

Best place for him as long as he gets the care, in the UK they tend to write you off & care of the elderly in NHS hospitals is a scandal.

JTD why do you have to make such unproven sweeping statements. The thread is about Ray. Do you have a good word to say about anything?

NHS care in England may not be as good as we have in Scotland - well do something about it. We have - thank god!

Take care Ray

Just talked to him and he says he is starting to feel better. Thinks he might come home soon, but I'll be surprised if that happens. He still sounds congested. Gonna try to get to the hospital tomorrow after the carpet cleaners leave.

Hoping he is well enough to make the dinner on Sat. Would really be missed if he isn't there, but all that counts now is that he get well and back up on his feet.

Gaile, is Health Central the one right off 408 and the Turnpike on 50? Do you have a room number?

Don't have a room number but yes it is on 50 just to the left as you come off 408. Guess I should have read further. Maybe Arlene could come to the get together. Will she still be here on the 19th? Will try to call her tomorrow

I'm so sorry Tweet that I won't be at the annual dinner. I still remember you and Da Coot sitting together off to the side and I instuitively knew who you were.

999 times out of a thousand people in reality don't even remotely appear to be what one expects when they finally meet. The Coot was EXACTLY what I expected. I guess in one form or another that is some kind of testimonial.

I wish you all the best and I fully understand your moving North even if you don't really want too. I am so honored to accompany Ray on the Epic Cruise and don't worry, I'll take good care of him no matter what. People such as he, and the Coot are to be treasured. I'm a newbie so I have to earn my keep. Have no fear, I'll make doubly sure Ray has a grand time...PERIOD!

Love,

Ray,

There are way too many old and sick people on this site . No one is going to make you younger, but I do hope the Drs. make you (and others who are ill) well soon!

Todd, are you and Ray taking turns in hospital admitions?

Feel better soon, Ray, pneumonia is not something to joke with. Listen to the docters and Celeste's orders, and you will be fine.

Big hugs for Ray for anyone to pass to him when on phone or visit.

At about 1800 hours 6PM the doctor came to visit his patients that were in Health Central. I was the first. He said "Hey I read you record. Your temp has been 98.6 for 3 takes and your BP is 123/67." So I said what now. He said "Get your clothes on and go home". And I did.

Gaile walked in my room as the Nurse was filling out all my papers. Glad to see her. Within 30 Minutes after the Doc gave the word to have the doc ready and signed. Gaile come on over to my house and we chatted for a bit.

I am not all the way up to par yet. I am having problems breathing after I was a couple of feet. That will correct itself I am sure. The Pour via IV 4 different Antibioatics in me in the 2 days. I now have to recover from that so be patient.

I am going to the Gathering GOD willing and the river don't overflow.

Great news Ray!
Just take it one day at a time and get your strength up, take it easy. That would be wonderful if you can make the dinner....
