I'll be celebraing Thanksgiving with my dear good friend and Cardiologist Jeff Schoondyke and his family. They have included me, for some unfathomable reason, into their family in a most intimate way.

I am so lucky it is beyond belief. I have my own family that provides unreserved love and now I have a second family that does the same. How could anyone be more blessed? Tears of thankfulness roll down my cheeks for reasons I cannot fathom. All I can say is God has Blessed me beyond measure.

I pray for all of you that you can experience the happiness and thankfulness that I'll experience this Thanksgiving.

And wait till you hear about New Year's Eve!

We all go over to my Mom's home (here in Texas) to chow down. Usually a group of both family AND friends. Mom makes turkey and dressing. I make all the sides and a dessert. I also do dishes which usually....No one wants to do!!

Yikes, just one week from today. I'll be cooking for a big group, getting in the mood for some turkey myself...

We are headed down to the OBX,,, Hatteras Island N.C. to be exact. This has become a family tradition for the past few years.

My brother, his gf & his daughter from Pa.& her family,,Dh,myself and our daughter & her family.

My daughter's friend has a ocean front beach house with 5 bedrooms that he lends to them when it is not being used,,,so we will be headed down on Wed to start preparing for our big dinner.

Hope the weather gets nice again. But if not we will be spending time with family so all is well,,,not to mention all the great deals shopping at all the little beach shops. It's end of season so some great deals to be found,,,

I can't wait,,,,
