Default Good Friday Morning

Good morning to all:

I'm up early in preparation for the hacking of the leg. Betty is showering and then she will help me take a shower. It isn't as fun as it sounds.

Hopefully by the end of the day my patella and patella tendon will be all wired up and I'll be back on the four month road to recovery. I figure I'll be all better by the time the snow starts to melt and we embark on our family cruise on the Carnival Liberty.

I hope everyone has a great Friday and a wonderful weekend. Remember, only fifteen more shopping days until Christmas.

Take care,
Mike

Good luck today, Mike! I see these types of surgeries on a daily basis at work, and usually they go well! It's crazy that you can do so much damage from something like tripping on the stairs! Let that be a lesson to all of us to be careful. Let us know how it goes today, and hope you have a speedy recovery!!

Morning Mike, and best of luck with your surgery today. You want to be able to do the conga line at the Liberty Sail Away Party!

I don't know if any of you saw the news about our "weather bomb" yesterday, there was widespread damage and power outages, but fortunately all we suffered was a few downed branches and a pond that has now turned to into a rink! The temperature dropped from +17C (62F) to a chilly -2C (35) this morning.

Today is TGIF and I am relieved at that. It has been a challenging week at work, one of those times I ask myself, "why am I doing this"?
I've dealt with fistfights, defiance, major tantrums, and an 8 yr old calling me a B****!
6 more school days till Christmas vacation and it can't come a moment too soon!

donna

My sister in law is a K-8th grade Band Teacher, and she asks herself that frequently! Teachers impact all of us and are underpaid and under appreciated. Thank you for doing what you do! Hang in there!

Frosty morning but the sun is out and the frost is now gone! Got up early today so much to do. Have the laundry all caught up, house is in order, suitcase is packed, office work done. D/H has a few things to get done and we will be on the road again for the weekend. 2 dances up north so we are staying overnight in Columbus. Hope to get a little shopping done. I have 3 left to get and have no idea what to even look for.
Mike, Hope your surgery goes well cause you have a cruise to get ready for!
RD, keep the cold I don't want it.

Everyone have a great day.

Good Morning cruisemates!

Mike - just stay awake long enough to make sure they are going to do surgery on the correct leg!

Nights have been pretty cool here. Even had the heat on last night. But this morning the sun is shining, I'm enjoying my coffee on the patio perch (with assistance from the patio heater), and waiting for temps to rise to about 65.

Today is an I'm lazy day! Nothing on my schedule, other than perhaps going for a haircut, and dinner out with friends.

Default Good Friday Morning

Good morning. Bright, sunny, and chilly. Apparently, some rain is in out future.

Mike, best of luck with your surgery.

Donna, I don't know how you do that job. I could never handle it.

I plan to wrap gifts today to get in the mail.

Have a good day, people.

I know I posted this morning but it must be with millions of others, out there in never-never land.

I hope the surgery went well, Mike.

R/D, I have always said a good teacher is worth their weight in gold. and if anyone fills that bill, it's you.

Had a great Christmas party with the seniors yesterday. They were all so happy to see me that far more than I every thought turned out. Thank God, we had enough food, etc. That was my Christmas present, making their day a little brighter. Matter of fact, I had so much there was even a shrimp tray left over but it was easy to find homes for it.

Sadly, because of my current physical situation, I'm not able any longer to host monthly covered dish luncheons for them but I'll hopefully be able to do one every other month.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, regardless of your weather and of course Prayers for all of those on the list and Blessings continue.

The weather in LI from Dec. 11-Dec.18 is predicted to be sunny every day with a temperature high of 48 . Your CT .weather should be similiar .
I don't mind the cold ,I just can't take the snow.

Yes, our weather will be similar. I don't drive at night and Mrs. TM hates to drive in the snow, so that forecast is not too bad,

Thanks Henry.

Mike: I know knees and have had one replaced, 2 scopes, along with 2 hip replacements. I'm still working full time managing a restaurant and on my feet 10-12 hours a day, swimming and snorkeling whenever I can.

It's amazing what is being done in this field and you will be fine, sooner than you expect. Best part is that they give you some very entertaining drugs, you get waited on, can catch up on your reading and old movies.

Just don't get too impatient - easy to say but hard to do!

Whenever something like this happened in our family, my Dad called it a "Change of Plans". Be patient!
