Default Good morning

All packed for our cruise out of Tampa! Its cold here in FL today, have the heater on. Looking forward to some relaxing times with my husband. I will write a review when I come back. My husband will get the internet while on board so I guess I can check my mail too. The only thing I am concerned with is my coffee <bringing a french press> and food. I lost almost 80 pounds the last 1 1/2 year and eat mostly organic now. Hopefully I can find some good choices! I will continue to use the gym while at Sea also. Running every morning is a must!

Did I say I am going on vacation?;-)

Everyone have a great day and Happy New Year!:-D

Here's wishing "you'uns" an absolutely wonderful cruise, Sue. Also hope you find plenty of different foods that will fit your diet!

Here in upper East Tennessee this morning, it's a cold 26 degrees but will be rising into the low fifties. It gets a little warmer through New Year's Eve under mostly sunny skies before showers are scheduled for New Year's Day. Monday harbors a return to winter type weather here (highs in the lower forties).

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. It's getting close to winding up for New Year's Eve. As I've written, my family and visiting family from London are joining me at a New Year's Eve gala benefitting Kari's Heart Foundation which is being held in a really nice hotel in Johnson City, TN, about 45 minutes up the road. We'll all be staying there the night as the dinner dance and rooms were my Christmas present to my family.

Who else has some exciting plans?

Good morning everyone and great to see Sue posting and getting ready for a cruise.

Sue: Can I crawl in your luggage? Have a great cruise!

It's an early morning for me. I woke up at 3:30 a.m. with the knee hurting like heck. After reapplying the brace, moving around and three Ascriptin I'm doing better but wide awake. I know many Cruisemates have knee and joint problems and now, with this busted knee cap, I have a greater understanding of your issue.

Nothing really on the agenda for today. Yesterday, I actually dusted the furniture and Betty vacuumed and washed floors. My sister is staying with us over the holidays and her Golden Retriever, Meagan, has given us the puppy hair we haven't had since Kramer was with us. I love having a dog in the house and Meagan is a VERY good dog but I have to say that I don't miss the hair.

This weekend we'll be heading north to my brother's lake place and the family and friends will celebrate New Years together. It will be nice. We're going to rig up a bed in the back of the Suburban so I can lay flat. About 30 minutes sitting in a car is all I can take. I know the grandkids will want to ride with us so Grandpa can lay in the back and watch videos with the grandkids. I just hope they're off of their Harry Potter kick by then. Maybe they'll want to watch Patton with me.

So that's it from here. I hope everyone has a great Thursday and that the coming New Year is the best yet for all Cruisemates!!

Take care,
Mike

Hi Kids,
Bright and cold, with no snow..what an unusual December we have had..I have really not worn a real heavy coat yet!

Yesterday, I did a few errands, and around supper time, every bone in my body ached like crazy...I was thinking flu, but, I had my shot. The only motrin/tylenol I could find was 8yrs old!!!! I had given the "good stuff" to Christian last week, and have not restocked.

My granddaughter Caitlyn, just found out she is onthe Deans List...she works so hard, and, we are all beaming!

NY Eve around this house means Chinese food, and with the one up the street, you need to put your order in early, as I did, last week. I got a call, that they will call us to come pick up, as this place gets crowded beyond belief...hopefully this will help.

Sue, have a nice cruise, Mike no clogging for you I guess Todd, enjoy the family.

Make it a good one.

A cold start to today here in southern Ohio with temps to warm up to the 40's later today. Since school is out for Christmas break today I have 2 girls. They brought enough toys to stay forever! They had to bring some of the new items that Santa brought so it looks like D/H and I will be playing today. Both girls are back to sleep on the couch right now so it is my time. This evening we are having a girls night out. My daughter, the 2 grandaughters, my 2 sisters and 2 of my nieces are all going to see Chipwrecked. It will just make me want to go on a cruise! Should be a fun evening.
Todd, sounds like you have some fun plans for bringing in the New Year.
Mike, bet you don't get to watch Patton! Harry will win out.
Sue, I'm jealous of you. Have a great cruise and relax.

Everyone have a great day.

Good Morning cruisemates! A beautiful day ahead in the Arizona desert. We're into a mid 70s every day 15 day forecast (I hope they are right for a change).

Have a variety of friends in town this week, so it's been a busy week, with golf scheduled every day this week, except for New Year's Day. We've played several beautiful golf courses already, and have two I have never played before scheduled for today and tomorrow.

Then it's dinner out with friends tonight.

I am liking this retirement/snowbird thing.

Good morning Mates

We are back in Florida, after spending a couple of weeks in Connecticut. The sun is shinining and the temps are in the sixties.

Not much to do except catch up on our mail and prepare for New Year's eve celebrations.

Have a nice day folks.

Default Good Morning

Good morning from sunny SoCal. It was 77 yesterday. Looks like the weather man was right about a fabulous Rose Parade week.

Sue, I am jealous of you and your cruise.

Mike, I am NOT envious of you sleeping in a flatbed truck!

Might try to go to Pasadena today, but will stay way from the parade route.

Have a good day, people.

Judy
