Morning Mates! I'm back and starting my work week in the middle of the week, can't complain about that.
I am having computer issues, everything is tiny, tiny, despite the fact that I have increased my overall font size to 150%, CruiseMates, facebook and Hotmail are still so tiny I can't read them, so please excuse any errors. I cannot even change the size of this print as I usually do...
Anyway, the Christmas/New Years cruise was very nice. Not spectacular, but nice. I will go into more detail once I get all the photos loaded and start writing my review.
Missed you guys, glad to be back!
Welcome Back RD!
It is the coldest temps we have seen so far this winter around here. It was 15 degrees at 8am with the high to reach 33! At least it is not snowing here and the kidos are back to school after a nice holiday break.
Not a lot on the agenda today as I have the little one. She is taking her morning nap on my couch right now but when she wakes it will be lots of playing for us.
Hope everyone has a great day and stays warm.
Good morning all and welcome back Rollerdonna! It is coooolllld here at the Jersey Shore, 13 when I left to go to physicial therapy at 6:45 am .
Made airplane reservations for our November cruise on the first day available as I wanted to jump before the frequent flier seats were all gone. I also made our hotel reservation on the first day available back in November for the same reason. So all is set except final payment on the cruise.
Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Forgot to mention that when we left the hotel in Ft. Lauderdale yesterday morning (4:30 a.m.) it was 48F or 9C. When we got home, our house/pet-sitter told us it had been 10C or 50F all day, so it was actually warmer in Nova Scotia than in Florida, can you believe that?
Not only that, there is STILL no snow here, although I think after today, that might change...it has been "flurrying" since this morning and seems to be sticking....
Welcome home Rollerdonna, I was beginning to get worried!
I noticed it was colder here in upper East Tennessee yesterday than in New York! I think though, that the NE is going to catch it beginning today, so I think your weather, R/D, is about to change at least temperature wise.
The forecast ("guess" is a more appropriate word) is that it will be around 58 on Friday. We'll see.
Woke up early this morning. I kinda' pushed a little hard yesterday but got some important things done. Today has been devoted to bills and as much as I hate to go out (although it's sunny but I'm becoming something of a recluse), gotta' get to the supermarket, especially for food for my furry children.
Am all set to go on the March Epic Cruise with Ray and I'm so looking forward to getting away for a week!
Hope everyone has a good humpday now that the weekend is in sight!

I'm enjoying my coffee and cruisemates while sitting on my patio perch in bright vivid sunshine. The temp is expected to reach 75 today.
Yesterday was also a gorgeous day, and I was golfing, but today is an unplanned day.
Have to do some grocery shopping to toss into my mother's condo, as she and her caregiver arrive tomorrow night. With her condition now, hopefully the change to her new enviroment won't throw her too much.
Last yr. I had bought a car for her caregiver to get her around in, and Mrs. Kuki has been driving that vehicle until now. So, we'll run that through a car wash for her, to get it nice and spiffy again.
Good Afternoon CruiseMates!!!
I had all sorts of grand plans of stuff I was going to get done today. Well it has not happened... I have been riveted to my computer watching the cabin inventory on the Carnival Conquest for our upcoming cruise.... I freely admit getting a huge bargain and if they gave my family of four a category 1A cabin... it would be more than a fair deal considering the price I paid and I would happily resign my self to bunking there.
However, I booked a guarantee in hope that we might get a nice little upgrade. Well I was somewhat amused a while ago when all of the inside cabins were sold out..., then they got down to a handful of balcony cabins and about 10 Oceanviews left, I thought that was pretty nifty, I also noticed that the 2 Grand Suites were also still available.... not that I had a snowball's chance of landing one. Then fast forward to today, there now only two oceanview cabins and two Grand Suites available and there is one balcony that keeps disappearing and reappearing over and over. Sometimes it says it is sold out, then it will come back into the inventory. So assuming the balcony is truly occupied.... In our roll call there is one other lady who does not have an assigned cabin yet... wouldn't it be kick in the pants if we both got a Grand Suite?
So anyhow that's my excitement for the day. Pitiful aren't I?
Hope you all are doing well and you are all having a very Happy New Year!
