For what it's worth, everyone who has ever cruised with us for the first time became repeat cruisers. They loved it.

But I agree with AR, it's not a person's place to "convince" someone else to try a cruise.

We cruise 3-4 times per year and for us, it's the best vacation because we can't be contacted by our employees. I've found, if you're out of touch they will figure out the right thing to do on their own.

Regard,
Thomas

Cruising has to be brutal for recovering alcoholics. Darn good thing they have those AA meetings onboard. I hope they work.

Which brings up another point that's very much on topic. Depending on how well you know the people you're trying to "convince," it's always possible that there's an underlying reason why they don't want to cruise that they're not comfortable sharing with you. Recovering alcoholics would be a good example. They may not want to cruise because they know very well that there's a bar around every corner on a ship. But they may not want to share that with you. There are other possibilities along the same lines.
The specific people that I am speaking about are friends that I've known all my life .

Cruising should be mandatory . If every parent set up a bank account for their children in which they would deposit $1 to $5 per week said children would have quite a best egg when they are adults and able to cruise .

I read this as a joke.

Holidays are important but not everyone will choose a cruise.
