Default Now in Port Evergaldes.....

...there are 8 ....count 'em 8 ....cruise ships now in port....can you imagine watching them all sail away from the main beach....better to be on one than watching, but that would be a sight.....I imagine you could see them all on the horizon....

Yes it would be great to watch them sail off.

I will say that my first thought when I read this was: "Boy, I bet FLL airport is a madhouse."

With eight ships at one time that is a minimum of 20,000 people disembarking at one time. It is probably over 25,000. Wow!

Take care,
Mike

Sid, I probabaly just watched you sail from Port Everglades on their webcam. It's so interesting to see the ships maneuver around, and sail out the inlet, and, hear the horns blare at the condo people. Have fun...

Trip,

I hope I didn't mislead everyone, but, alas, here I sit in mid-state Connecticut, not due to sail until early April on Connie....

..I was doing the same thing you did, which was looking at the port webcam....I do this fairly often week ends...I did see Crown Princess and Oasis depart when I checked back late afternoon...

..always a nice sight to see these huge beauties as they go through the channel and out into the Atlantic...we have on occasion been on the beach near Las Olas Boulevard and seen them depart as well...

I also check the cams from the various Caribbean ports (Panama Canal as well) pretty much daily during the week.....a poor substitute to being there, but still.....
