Default "The Artist "

The Artist in my opinion is the best film of 2011 .It is nominated for Critic Choice and Golden Globe awards and hopefully the Oscars .

A special award should be given to Uggie .

I beg to differ . . .

Midnight in Paris IS the best movie of 2011. Well written, well acted, and well shot.

The best picture that will be released in 2012 will be Los Pisteleros . There will be no argument on that .

No way: The best movie of 2011 was:

It had a cruise ship in it.

Take care,
Mike (Who also greatly enjoyed "The Artist" but has yet to see "Midnight in Paris.)

I took my grand kids to see this movie .The reviews in the NY newspapers were awful .However I did not think the film was that bad .There were references to a Tom Hanks film that only the adults in the theater understood.

J. Edgar is an amazing film as well. Who would ever dream Leonardo Decaprio would play J. Edgar Hoover. Say it ísn't so! We must be getting old!

IMHO , THE ARTIST will take every major award at the Oscars .

James Cromwell derserves a Best Supporting Actor nomination .

Definitely " The Artist " is one of the best films to come along in 2011 . It takes us back to a time when silent movies were presented in major theatres with the music played by an orchestra . It was quite a movie-going experience to see a B & W film ( original 4x3 format ) on the silver screen just as it was shown to audiences in the early part of the 20th century . Watch the Oscars' ceremony to see how many awards it will win !

I really loved this movie and agree that it should win the Oscar for best picture.

I really enjoyed "Midnight in Paris" and could see it again because it was so clever and different. It should definitely be a contender for an Academy Award, but I don't think it will win.
