Default Thursday Good Morning

Morning Mates, it's Thursday already, at least it seems that this week is going fast...
Today is a cold one, -8C (feels like -18, or 0F).
Yesterday it went up to +8C, or 46F, talk about yo-yo weather! What little snow we had is all gone.
This is my backyard yesterday:

This is what it looked like a year ago at this time:

Sure has been an unusual winter so far....

Today is aquafitness, then a Dr. appointment, then work. The little monsters are behaving a
lot better this week since I e-mailed a letter to all their parents informing them that parents would be called to pick up their kids if they don't behave. Drastic times require drastic measures...
Well, everyone have a good Thursday!

Good morning everyone from a cool, Texas. We are suppose to be in the 80's by tomorrow. I agree, Donna, it is a very strange year for weather.

Yesterday I finally got a good workout. Two plus miles on the treadmill, and then working with the Biggest Loser tape for toning. This morning I am so sore, but it's the good kind. Last year I lost 50 lbs, and this year I want to lose 50 more.

Not much else going on.

I hope all of you have a good day.

Luanne

Your problem reminds me of the time the actor W.C. Fields was in a movie with a little kid (I think they called him Baby Leroy). Anyway he felt the kid was upstaging him. Every morning Baby Leroy took a shooting break to have his orange juice. Fields went into his dressing room, trailer or whatever, poured out half the organge juice and topped it off with either vodka or gin (I forget which). At any rate, Baby Leroy had his break, drank his juice and you can just imagine what happened. There wasn't any shooting that day.

Field's comment (keeping in mind he drank a bottle of booze a day)? "That kid will never make a drinker."

Another Field comment was: "I can't stand drunks, gives drinkin' a bad name!

So R/D, you might want to stash a little 90 proof "medicine" in your office.

You snuck in there Luanne! Love you!

It's frost on the pumpkin time here in upper East Tennessee this morning but it's forecast to warm up a little toward the weekend.

Always remember, everybody can start bellying up to the bar around 5:00 pm tomorrow afternoon; unless of course you're retired, then you can just move right in!

Prayers and Blessings continue!

Good morning Mates

The weather here has been quite normal. It's a little cooler today than it has bee in the last few days, but it will still get close to 70. and in a couple of days it will reach 80.

Todd, since I'm retired I will step up to the bar right now.

Have a nice day folks.

Another cold morning here but should warm up to 50.
Donna, glad the e-mails worked.
Going to do nothing again today except the home PT and listen to my Ipod.
My eyes are tired of reading and there is absolutely nothing on daytime TV.

Good Morning CruiseMates!
I have to agree this winter has been baffling to say the least, definitely much milder than last winter. At the moment I am sitting with the cutest black cat sitting on my lap. His name is Walnut and he came to live with us shortly before Thanskgiving. He's the only cat I have ever met that is afraid of heights. If you pick him up the only way you can hold him is if you hold him against your body like a baby, other wise he gets scared and wants down lol. But if I am sitting down he's very happy on my lap. He is a good boy but his presence has really upset Sami, the firstborn's apple cart. She does not like having to share her house with the new interloper.

Had a great day yesterday. We had to get up early and go to Indy for the kid's follow up appointments with the Plastic Surgeon. He was very pleased with how the kids are healing. I am especially pleased with how nice Allie's lip looks. We were all very nervous, since that spot was quite large , to make it smooth he had to not only cut vertically to where the spot was, but also horizontally along the lip line to release it to prevent the skin from puckering. Everyday it looks a little better and smoother. In a year the scar should be nearly unnoticeable. We just have to be very diligent with the sunscreen right now, especially on this trip coming up.

My son is a comedian today. He says
"Mommy, (he can be very charming when he wants to be) will you please make me some toast?" I said yes but it will be a few minutes.... if you want it sooner, you'll have to make it yourself.... Then of course I made a comment..."
" I cannot wait to get on this ship! Then they will be waiting on all of us, making our meals, cleaning up after us"
of course the boy finds my statement amusing and says "wait a minute, you're not waiting on us.... I am waiting on you, can I have my toast now?"

So if you guys ever wonder why I don't acknowledge any of the previous posts in the thread... it's because I probably started typing 2-3 hours ago, but probably stopped a couple of dozen times to take care of other stuff ... so whatever I post may or may not apply by the time I actually hit the "post" button.

I am getting excited and I am about halfway packed. I took d/d and d/s shopping in Indy after their appointments. d/d had about $150 in giftcards at "Justice". She loves that store. and she got a ton of beautiful clothes. D/s hung out across the way at the Lego Store while d/d was trying on clothes and he found some treasures too. My sister went to her follow up with the orthopedic surgeon also so we met up at Sullivan's Steakhouse to celebrate her birthday. I picked d/h up some more jeans, since we've lost weight, our wardrobes are a bit limited. Speaking of which, we intend to do a little scuba diving in Grand Cayman, so my wetsuit no longer fits actually I could zip it up over my head lol. So I popped out to my favorite dive shop and they had a sale on a nice shorty and so I tried it on, and my daughter gasped and said "Mommy, you look great, so skinny!!! you have to buy that one!" so I did! lol! Oh I love my daughter lol! We headed for home and got home around 5 p.m.. We shot an entire day, since we left at 7 a.m.. Time does fly when you are having fun!

D/h got home about 6:30, so he tried on his new jeans, and I had him try on my old wetsuit since he is now 70+ pounds lighter and it fits him like a glove, Yay! I really didn't want to get rid of it if I didn't need to, since they are pricey to replace.

We will leave for NOLA tomorrow night when d/h gets home from work. I pray for safe travels and good weather. I feel terrible for some of the folks who are joining us on this cruise. One family drove to Seattle from B.C. and they are currently stranded with no flights going out at the moment....

At the moment it is snowing and temps should drop to 8 degrees tonight. It seems there is always some weather event to deal with when we cruise. One year it was an ice storm and I ended up driving straight through since all the hotels were full of utility crews, the other years we have been outrunning blizzards or something else. I am hoping we don't get more than the inch they have forecasted for us.

Well tonight I have rehearsal and then I get a week or so off. I have to get my lines memorized while we are gone. Hard to believe we have less than month til the show starts. Well I better get busy!

Default Thursday Good Morning

Good morning! One more day of sunny weather, then the wet stuff . . . I hope!

Keith is headed for the clinic and routine blood tests. Still haven't heard anything about the knee x-ray.

Donna, I hope work stays calm.
BW, bon voyage!

Have a good day, everybody.
