What is your favorite season to cruise ?

We've cruised in Winter and Summer and are doing a Spring cruise this year .

May favorite thus far is summer .

Henry, one could say we both leave in the winter,and, come home in the spring.

Fall is my fave season....hurricane season

We hve not cruised in the summer but have the other seasons. I really don't care whether it is Fall, Winter or Spring any of these is fine with me.

In the Caribbean, I prefer the spring.

Since we leave the same day...3/17, and Spring begins in the Northern Hemisphere on March 20, 2012, at 1:14 A.M, we leave in one season, and come home in the next.

Back to the question at hand, I like 'em all, but probably prefer Fall/Winter for sailing the Caribbean. Just a bit hot on the islands in the summer, and the rates are EXCELLENT during the Fall, with hurricane season upon us.

I always consider March 1 as Spring but technically I see we are leaving in Winter .As you and I will be at 2 of the same ports but different days (you before me) ,I expect to see messages from you stating "Trip was here" ,similiar to "Kilroy was here ."

Do you remember this? This March 1993 storm shut down the entire east coast. If we get something like this again, neither one of us is going anywhere.

I like to cruise in winter,spring and fall. Summer is just too hot for most cruises for me. I survived hurricane Celia (1970). There was concern that my last cruise might be redirected because of a hurricane but was not..whew.

In 93, the entire coast line form Maine to Miami was shut down. My boss, who was at a time share in Aruba, had to leave the condo, and, get a hotel, as nothing was flying in or out....one of the worst storms, since the blizzard of 78...

Mostly, it depends on where I'm going. But I especially like to sail in May. My DH's birthday is in May, and I've always said that's the perfect time for a cruise!
