I used to use my father's skis that he got in Switzerland back in the late thirties. They were long and narrow and were semi-racing skis. The bindings had rotted away.

There is a picture of me on them that was on the front page of the paper back in '64 but it noted that at the end of the run was a barbed wire fence and there was no way to turn them because of no bindings, so I just rolled off them...at about twenty to twenty-five mph.

That hill is now covered with high dollar homes!

I've never tried skiing but in the 1980's my BDW and I would go with a group of friends every winter to a Catskills resort and engaged in winter sports .

Henry, I never heard of snow rolling, but as kids in Pennsylvania, we used to go sled riding every night.

One goes to the top of a snow covered hill and rolls down .

Snow??

When we cruise to Alaska, that is the only time I even like to SEE snow.

DW takes the dog sledding excursion on the glacier, and I stay on the ship and read a book.

Then I look at her pictures. That is all the snow I want.

:D
