Morning Mates, from a dull and frosty, and soon to be snowy, Pictou County. Temp is at -5, "feels like" -11, or 12F. Looks like another good day to take the kids out sledding if they don't close the schools by noon....
This morning I am off to do my 1 mile walk around the (indoor) pool where it is decidedly warmer, and we can listen to ABBA or the Oldies while we exercise. I had my TOPS weigh-in last night and was disappointed to only have lost 1/2 lb. since last week, despite all the exercise I've been doing.
Mike, hope you are feeling better, and Todd, hang in there...
Sue, sorry about your mom and her stroke...hard decisions I know...
Trip, hope all went well at the eye Dr...
Moiraine, wow, a year already caring for your dad, kudos to you!
Luanne, hope you are enjoying Oklahoma...
Phyll, glad you found a cat sitter, we just found someone for our pets too, it is such a relief!

It's a foggy morning on the Minnesota moors. It's warm (38 ) and damp so the fog is thick and a number of rural schools are closed today. It has been a very mild Winter and I'm not complaining. With the bad leg I'll take as little snow as Mother Nature wishes.
Betty is feeling better and the kidney infection seems in check so she'll be off to work today. Last night we were just going to munch on left-overs but I had a desire for "bread" so I made bacon, egg and cheese biscuits for dinner. I used the C4C gluten free flour to make my biscuits and they turned out pretty good. I will just have to add about a 1/4 cup more milk next time because they were just a tad dry. The C4C is an excellent gluten free flour and I am happy with the results I've had with it. Oh, oh: I may have to delete this post for advertising.
I hope everyone is doing well today and that there is a little less of Todd in the world this morning.
Have a great Wednesday and:
Take care,
Mike

Good morning everyone from Lawton, Ok where it is cloudy, but should be another nice day. We have noticed that it is really windy up here. We are use to the wind, because of Texas, but here, the wind blows all the time.
Last night Jim brought food home. Yes I said home, because I bring enough stuff to make it seem like home.
He decided on chicken sandwiches, which was good.
I really enjoy being on these trips. You have no idea what it feels like to be "just me" No one knows who I am and what I have been through, so no one feels sorry for me, or labels me.
Tonight will be greek night. The reviews are really good for this place, so I am hoping it will be as good as others have said.
Good Morning cruisemates! Just another pretty much perfect weather day underway in Scottsdale. Temps heading to 75.
Today is day 3 of my full week golf marathon. Time to switch playing partners as one hit me in the back with a golf shot yesterday. And I thought my brother in law liked me.
I should have been watching, and he shouldn't be such an awful golfer
A slightly gloomy but warm 45 degrees in NW Ohio. So much fun without snow and ice and I can hope it stays that way. However, it looks like the groundhog will see it's shadow tomorrow.
Sue, I can feel your pain. DMIL went that route and it was hard to convince the other siblings of her decline and need of help. I spent two days/nights the week before DD#1 wedding with DMIL because she was just released from the hospital and no one else would stay with her because she was released from the hospital so she must be okay!!!! DH worked third (nights), so I did his duty. A few days after the wedding, she was in the hospital again. She fell and spent 4 hours trying to reach the phone. Go figure!!!! After that, I think the siblings got the hint! Then, I got to spend a night with her weekly after that (there were seven siblings!!!!). She ended up in a nursing facility when it became too much for all to handle. Moiraine, you are some sort of saint to your dad!! Please make sure you take care of yourself, too.
And, Todd, GO TO THE DOCTOR. The water retention is not good!
Mike and Betty, you two need to take care of each other and stay indoors!!
Okay, enough of my mothering!! I am without DD#2 this week as she had to go for a week of classes at Dayton. She starts her last clinical next week. DH is on second (afternoons) shift now, and I am NOT liking it. Oh well, that's life.
I am busy on crafting paper flowers for DD#2 wedding invites, Tonight, I should be able to complete another batch for a total of 170. I need about another 30 - 50 to finish. Boy, this kid is gonna make me glad I am done with weddings!! DD#1 was a breeze by this standard!!
Well, good day to all and take care of yourselves.
Good morning. My "attendance" on CM might be sporadic. I fried my laptop. Keith is trying to save it. Some of the keys don't work and I may have to change my passwords and always have typos. Really, sharing the desk top doesn't work, but Keith doesn't want to spend the money on a new one. Really, all I need is something very basic.
After lunch, I still want to go look at lap tops. Will come back when I can, not that I have anything earth shaking to say.
