Default Thursday is looking brighter

Well, last night I thought I'd be in the hospital today. But they let me come home after pumping Lasix and Lord only knows what else into me. I've congestive heart failure and it's only going to get worse but for not as bad as quickly as I currently feel.

We'll see what today brings. Hope you Mike and your son are doing better, Moiraine's Dad, Judy's mom and all of our other Cruisemates with will ill parents or children are getting some better news this morning.

For Manuel, Sky (Ken), and several others everyday is a retirement day but I don't know about you guys, but it seems that I often work harder in retirement than I did on the job.

Hope everyone has a grand run-up to the weekend and I agree with everyone Ron, those triplets and Trip's granddaughter are truly the cutest I've seen in a longtime.

Now for my fist lazix of the day and I hope I spend four hours in the "watering hole," for then maybe I'll feel more human!

Naturally Prayer for all of you on my list and Blessings for all of my beloved Cruisemates, continue

Happy Thursday ,everyone .

When I was working I was up at 5:30AM and did not get to bed till 1:30AM . Since being retired I can sleep as late as I desire and instead of 4 hours sleep get 7-8 hours sleep.

Morning Todd, my but we worry about you! Hope all goes well in the "watering hole" and you are feeling better soon!

The big news around here this morning is that "Shubenacadie Sam" our famous Maritime groundhog, has predicted an early spring, having not seeing his shadow this morning!

Despite the slow start yesterday, the predicted storm did finally happen around noon, and we are now under at least a foot of snow. It was quite nasty out yesterday and I was glad not to have to drive in it. Today, life goes on as usual, and I am looking forward to taking the kids out to sled in the fresh snow!

Happy Groundhog Day everyone, and hope you get to listen to "I Got You Babe" at least once today!

Morning mates. Up and going this morning. Not much in the way of quiet time this morning. Got to go get ready to take dad for his weeky round at the wound clinic.

Todd, too bad your bathroom isn't huge so you could have a lazyboy in there. Love ya. I'm so glad you went to see Jeff. I do so worry about you. I wish you had someone to come in and do your heavy housework one day a week.

Have a good day all.

Good morning everyone:

Todd: Good to see that you are back home and not in the hospital. I figured you would be increasing the river level in Johnsonville. I hope everything comes out all right today. Feel better.

I'm just waiting for the flooring guy to show up. We are going to replace the flooring in the kitchen. Little Miss Frugal has derailed our previous attempts by vacillating on color, floor type or whatever. I just took the bull by the horns, made up some ungodly high price to tell her and then told her she is going to pick a flooring she wants and it's going to get done ASAP. I love it when I think I'm in charge.

Well, he's here. Gotta go.
Take care,
Mike

Good morning
Cloudy and cooler here today but still above the normal temps for this time of year so I’m not complaining!

Todd..... Hope all goes well for you.

Mike.... It's nice to think you’re in charge from time to time; we ladies know you need it every so often.

Wow I must have be tired as I slept until 8:30 this morning. I haven't done that in a very long time. Missed seeing the groundhog do his thing but around here they are saying 6 more weeks of winter. Since we haven't had a winter yet maybe it is still to come.
Todd, so glad you didn't have to stay at the hospital. Just praying that things get better for you. We love you and don't want you to be ill.
Mike, when you get that floor done I will let you come down here and be in charge of getting ours changed out! This is a project that so needs done around here but just can't seem to get it done. Hope you are doing better too.
RD, have fun playing in the snow. Our kids would love to have some of that white stuff around here but the adults are happy with the way it has been.

D/H is out playing golf again today what with the temps in the 50's. This makes 4 times this week he has been able to play and the forecast looks like he may get to go again tomorrow before the rains come in on Sat. He is really liking retirement right now.

Prayers for all our mates out there with issues. Have a good day.

Good morning all.

Todd, I'm so glad you got yourself in to see the doctor and get some help finding relief. Hope today continues to take you down the road to recovery.

Mike, I like the way you take charge too! I can just picture Betty's face as you took over the helm.

It's a day of showers down here. I've been out for McD's coffee and yummy forbidden food. Then a trip to the dentist so I now have clean sparkling teeth, and time to catch up here before I head over to church to help out a little.

Have a good one all.

Hi Kids,
A drab day here, but, no white stuff....i have been on the phone for a while with NCL, trying to get dinner reservations set,and the entertainment. Such a pain to have to do this all prior to sailing, but.....

I went to the movoes yestersay to see One for the Money, this is from an 18 book series of my favorite author..I should have stayed home....bad casting and choppy makes for a lousy movie...the author, can't be happy;(

I then went over to my eye dr. and picked out some groovy glasses

Todd, I hope you are feeling up to snuff asap. I like the barclolounger in the bathroom idea

Make it a good one.

Good Morning cruisemates! Cooling off today in Scottsdale; only going to 70.

Today is day 4 of the golf marathon I am enduring ( ) this week. Third new course, and third new set of golf partners.

It's kind of funny because I see all these friends a lot more here than I do when we're all at home.

Hope all who aren't feeling well, feel up to snuff quickly.

Good morning everyone from Lawton, Ok where we are waiting on rain, and possible tornados.

I have been busy this morning. Breakfast with hubby, and then a morning workout, and cleaning of our mess. No I am not comfortable letting someone do it all for me.

Last nights meal was as good as the reviews. Greek food has always been a favorite of mine. Pita bread baking as you dine is a smell straight from heaven.

The rest of the day will be filled with reading, and doing more of my workout.

If there is a tornado I might be reporting from down the road tomorrow.

Todd, I love you.

Mike, I am so glad Betty let you be in charge for once.

Have a good day all..

Luanne

Hi Mates,

Good morning from a sunny south Texas!

So glad to see Todd went to the Dr! I too like the recliner in the bathroom idea!! Hope you get some of that fluid off.

Getting over the flu here. Finally feeling better.

I know I will be going on a fall cruise, but still not sure if I will have my seasick prone friend with me as I'm not sure if her work schedule will allow. I feel somewhat sure she will go as she will be super jealous if I go and she doesn't. lol

Taking it easy today to re-charge batteries.

Hugs to everyone..

Good afternoon from Virginia Beach where it has finally cleared up from the awful rain, this morning. Todd, our thoughts and prayers go with you that you are feeling alright. My husband, Rob, had had a heart attack and he is now finally on Weight Watchers, and is more aware of what he eats. (as you probably know, being overweight is not good for your heart). Hours are still slim at work. It is my intention to retire next year right before my sixty-fifth birthday. (I want more time to see family and to travel). May all my fellow cruisemates enjoy their day!

Todd, so glad you're feeling better. I too, worry about you and Ray, and Gaile, and all of you are in my thoughts everyday.
Yep, I think you're correct, in that I'm working harder now that I'm "retired" than I did when I was working. Actually, for the last two weeks, I've been "working", doing some contract work (Moving a couple of data centers) and now that I'm home again, the lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) has me catching up on all the "honey-do" projects that I missed while I was out. I guess that's O.K. though. I enjoy "working" with her.

Default Thursday is Looking Brighter

Good afternoon, I guess. I'm on the desk top and sitting on what must be the most uncomfortable chair in the universe, well at least in CA!

Keith is messing with the new laptop. Speaking of taking over, I never should have let him open the box. I'm starving!

Todd, all good thoughts and prayers go out for you. And yes, you need some household help.

Have a good day, people. I'm gonna go chew on a piece of furniture.

In retirement I stay busy, but on my own schedule. Yesterday I had issues with my left eye, so I had to go to the doctor.
These days trips to the doctor are more common than when we were younger.
