Morning Mates, from a beautiful sunny day-after-the-storm in Pictou County.
The snow continued into last night, and we got a good covering once again, which will be nice for taking the kids out sledding today.
However, it is cold, at -10C "feels like -18", or 0F. I'll bundle up to stand out there today!
Today is skating day for me, and I'm surprised how much I missed my aquafit yesterday.
I have become hooked on exercising, who knew? :-D
One good thing about my snow day yesterdy - I got a big pile of ironing done, and my packing is already finished! Believe me, that NEVER happens, I'm usually throwing things in a suitcase the night before we leave!
I am SO looking forward to this cruise, only another week and a half to go.....
Donna hit enter one minute before I did so she gets the Good Morning Thread. Good morning Donna.
It snowed!!!!! It really snowed!!!!
It is February 29th and we finally received a real snowstorm. So far I've measured around 5" of snow but it is covering a whole bunch of ice. It started as snow then turned into rain, then freezing rain and now back to heavy, wet snow. Betty is going to be working hard to get this one shoveled and blown. I'll make sure to supervise and let her know if she misses a spot on the driveway. Yesterday, my brother got to play with the snowblower and blow out the first inch or so while Betty "manicured" the remaining bits. My brother is a native Minnesotan but has lived in Dallas for the last 27 years. He loved playing with the snowblower.
Today is an early PT day at 7:40 a.m.. I am debating canceling because of the slippery roads and snow and I don't want to mess up my leg for the cruise. I see the ortho tomorrow and get "final" approval to go on the cruise but I know I will get it and if I don't too bad.
I hope everyone has a great day today and that this is the best Wednesday in long time.

Cloudy and then thunderstorms late this afternoon. Already been out on the deck with my coffee. I could get used to these pleasant temps in the morning. I am sure I will be complaining about the early morning heat and humidity this summer.
Mike, you had better get a helmet if you keep "supervising". Enjoy your cruise.
Donna, glad you are enjoying your exercise programs, I will be glad when I can go back to Zumba. It will probably be a few more months. Always good to get the ironing out of the way and the packing too.
Good morning from a rainy Texas. The temps are around 60's, so not bad.
It looks like you guys are enjoying your snow. I am afraid the only thing we have like a snow blower is a hair dryer on a really long cord.
Well.. Furniture arrived yesterday. Sort of What came was the coffee table and a end table. Called and the rest will be here on the 9th of March.:o Had to go back to the store when Jim came home, and now we are at least getting the sofa and chair today. I am not a screamer, and they handled their opps really well, so I think it will all work out.
Not much else going on. Hope all of you have a good day.
Sounds as if it's a good HUMP day all around! How refreshing!
Nothing going down today except for Church at Noon. As an Episcopalian, we use real wine and since most people these days just dip the Host in the wine somebody has to drain the Chalice, right? Sorta' like a cocktail party at the end of the service.
Then it's off to get some litter and food for the furry children along with some Keurig coffee ((I forgot to order it delivered).
Hope everyone has a safe (with all those storms around I'm kinda' worried about Moiraine) and pleasant day and of course Prayers and Blessings continue, today at least in a very appropriate venue.

Good morning A sunny but windy day on tap for us today after a rainy night last night. We have little to no snow left on the ground and I really hope it stays that way! I'm going to a "Salt Cave" today with a friend, people say it's good for you and very relaxing so why not. Enjoy Leap Day

For once, I am posting in the morning..Mom and I are headed for our eye exam shortly. Weather here looks warm and sunny. Think we'll go get a pedicure after seeing the eye doc; then maybe lunch at PF Changs. Should be a nice Leap Year Day!!
Better run off of here and go get ready to pick up Mom for the day ahead. Hope everyone enjoys hump day!
Morning mates. No worries Todd. It rained here but I'm not blown away.
I called our stand by care agency a few days ago to see about sending someone to help get dad out of bed in the morning for me. I'm sure it will evolve from there. He has just lost all of his muscle tone.
I've been dealing with fallout of my own medical issues the past few days. If I'm not on for the next week or so, please don't worry, although I will try to be on.
It's sunny now after the storm.
I don't know how you guys can watch the races. I don't have the stomach for it after Dale Sr got killed. But I hope you enjoy.
Let's get that stuff melted before I arrive in Ct. on thursday evening.
I have not seen any snow in the last four months and I certainly don't miss it.
