Ray, you're up and at 'em early this morning!
I was delayed starting the morning thread because I was busy cleaning the living room carpet. Poor Emma had accidents from both ends overnight, and what a mess she left. I guess a trip to the vet is in order today...

Thursday already, and another bright but cold day. The kids had a blast yesterday playing in the fresh snow, and I didn't mind standing out in the -10C temps. Today will be about the same. More snow on the way for parts of Nova Scotia, although whether it hits here is anybody's guess...I hear Montreal is getting hit with it today too.
This week is fast drawing to a close, and that means only 1 more week before I'm outta here!
Real excited about this one, looking forward to seeing Bert Stratton perform once again...
Wish you were all coming with me!

Good morning Ray, Donna and all those to follow. It's a bright sunny day here, with temps going up to 83 today. Sounds like we will be using the air early this season.

Well in a few hours my furniture mess should be over. I ended up being once again disappointed yesterday. After yet another delay, I went to our local store, and said a prayer, and found exactly what we needed. It was taken right off the floor, and delivered within an hour. We love it. Now I have to call the store and take to our salesperson to make sure that yesterday's furniture was cancelled. With the way they do business, I am worried that the person I spoke to didn't cancel.

Jim and I had a real heart to heart last night. We both realize that our lives have truely changed. I can no longer deal with stress. I thought I was going to loose my mind these last few days, and he told me about his tearful behavior, that he can't control.

I do count our blessings, because the experts say that instead of drawing closer, we should be further apart, or even divorced by now. For those reading this who are going through grief, just keep putting that one foot in front of the other. Don't you dare give up!!!

Well today I have many things I need to do, because of of the veil of saddness the last couple of days.

I do hope that all of you have a good day. Remember, count what you have, and not what you don't. Love each other, and show it.

Luanne

Sunny & 75 today. Of course I have a 12:00 PT appt today. Think I will leave a little early and see if I can find another baby shower present for my niece. We are having a surprise shower for her this weekend at EOW.

Hope everyone is having a great day today.

Good morning

We are almost ready to leave for Daytona Airport to fly to Connecticut.

We will up there for three weeks and then rent a van to bring down some items that we need down here.

If my computer up there is working I will be posting again this evening.

Good morning everyone!!!!

Tomorrow at this time I will be at 40,000 feet, in a metal tube, hurtling my way to Miami. It's going to be a fun cruise. I talked to my niece on the phone for almost two hours last night. She is so excited and had so many questions. I had to tell her to just let some things happen and enjoy the ride. It's a bit of let down that out of the fourteen people going none are on our flight to Miami. We were able to get direct flights on Delta but everyone else is on another airline, have connecting flights, or flying in from Dallas.

Luanne: I strongly suggest getting some professional help and working with others who understand what you are going through. Though my situation is not with the loss of a loved one, I greatly benefited from working with others who had the same issues as I did. Seven years ago when I was basically told there wasn't anything more that could be done medically to help me and then I had the stroke after the CM Hawaii cruise, I was pretty depressed. Working with a therapist and going to group therapy greatly helped and pulled me out of my depression. The interesting thing was that most people didn't think I was "depressed" except for Betty and I. I did a great job of hiding it. There is no "stigma" to getting help and if anyone has an issue or thinks less of you for doing so then they don't need to be part of your life and their opinion doesn't matter.

Well: My "little bird" keeps chirping upstairs. With sweet songs like: "Are you going to take this or not?" and "If you want to take this you'll need to take a carry-on!". So I better get to helping.

If I don't get online I'll just have to say: "See ya in just over a week."

Take care,
Mike

Good afternoon all. Took dad to the wound clinic. It'll be hte last time we can take him in the OH's vehicle. We almost did not get him back in. Finally managed to get him home and OH dropped me off at the store. I managed to walk around and look for a while and relax for a bit. I hope to have a caregiver in next week to start helping get dad up and down because he now has no muscle tone at all.

Good evening fellow cruisers!

I just booked on the last day of the Leap Year Day sale from Carnival. I decided to invite my very excited friend to come along. She gets seasick so I am just going to bring some medicine and cross my fingers. I got one of the best cabins that rocks the least..Very comfy. I could have gotten ocean view for same price as inside cabin but chose not to due to her getting seasick..Then she tells she she wishes I had gotten ocean view..ha ha ha No way. So now I have something to look forward to after getting well from surgery. I have a long recovery but this definitely gives me a light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm going to sleep with a smile on my face tonight!
