Lets all comment on this one. Where, when, what and how much. It makes me hungry.

Ray, the printing on the apron looks like Japanese to me, and I think it's "Something on the Half Shell":. How much you ask,,,,well it looks like three of 'em. I'll bet the lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) would love whatever it is.

Wink Scallops

In Iceland, we took a bay cruise and they dragged a net along the bottom and pulled it up full of fresh seafood! A raw scallop right out of the shell dripping with salt water was delicious!

We also had sea urchins. They cut them in half and there are 5 little pockets of roe inside. The urchin is related to the starfish, that is why there are 5. The Japanese think the roe is good for your oooomph! But I ate the roe from all 5 pockets, and only 3 of them worked ...

1) The scallop shell is more regular and sits on the grill better, distributing the heat more evenly??

2) The scallop shell is easier to hold to eat out of??

3) Oyster shells are ugly, scallop shells are beautiful??

4) Tradition. That's the way they have always done it?
