Morning Mates, although it is not even morning yet here, at 4:30 DARK a.m.! At least the last time I was up this early I was headed for a cruise, but this time, just to Halifax for an 8 a.m. Dr. appointment!
When you have to wait over 6 months to see a specialist, you take whatever day and time they can give you, and this is it..
After a 4 hour round trip driving, I still have to go to work later, and then foolishly I have planned a "girls' night out" of trivia at the pub tonight. I'll be lucky if I can keep my eyes open, much less answer any questions!
Have a good day all, and to Trip and Bruce, my deepest condolences on the passing of your dear little Cody....
It appears summertime has arrived Big Time here in upper East Tennessee with temperatures again today approaching if in fact they don't actually reach, 90F. Certainly didn't have much of a Spring at all this year and compared to down here RollerDonna, it sounds as if you're still in the grips of cold weather.
My brother and SIL leave today to move back to Europe. They will be missed but DeAnna will be the most depressed because she adores her parents so much. Truly a sad and traumatic situation for her. I told her she'd just have to be "winging it" to the British Isles a lot as she car far better afford her visiting her family over there than they visiting here!
Have to get my transmission into gear and get to moving. For about another few weeks I shan't be able to vegetate in front of the computer for an hour or two before "getting at it."
Called Ray twice yesterday and receive only the standard "I'm unavailable" message. Hope everything is okay and I'll try again later.
Prayers of course continue for all of you on the list accompanied by a request for God's Blessings upon all.

Good morning from a just waking up, Texas. We are also getting into the 90's today, and worse yet, the wild fires have started. It's going to be a long summer.
Bella, continues to grow. She is in the terrible two stage, getting into things I would not have thought of. She is for the most part a joy to have around.
Today I have to get some groceries, and work in the yard. It always seems to need water, and the weeds are still fighting me.
As the bad mystery novels say: "It was a dark and stormy night." It was your standard Summertime thunderstorms but I had three dogs on the bed with me until Betty got home. I was puppy sitting for my sister and BIL and they spent the night at her daughter's. I guess you could call it a "Three Dog Night."
When Kramer was still here he never even woke up during a thunderstorm but my sister's dogs and my son's are real wimps about it. They shake and drool and want someone near them all the time. So, I broke the rule of the house and let them on the bed otherwise I wouldn't have been able to go to sleep. I was severely chastised when Betty got home at midnight. By that time the storms were over and all three were relegated to the floor.
Today will be a wash day. I need to get the dog hair out of the bed. I am also going shooting with my sister. I plan on wearing Kevlar. It's not that I don't trust her but there could be years of pent up anger that she may take out on me. (That's a joke)
Well: Time to go. I hope everyone enjoys their hump day and has a wonderful rest of the week.
Take care,
Mike

Good Morning We’re off to a cloudy bur warm day with a peek at some sunshine later today. I had great news yesterday….My friend went in and had her double mastectomy and midway through the surgery someone came out to let us know that all the lymph nodes were clean as can be! The cancer has not spread at all. As of last night she was awake had a little something to eat and two cup of coffee. My girls a trooper!
I do believe I’m going to head over to Lowes to purchase the pretties bird bath I’d seen when I was there the other day. Not much going on here….Have a blessed day!

Hi Kids,
Another dreary day here in Beantown...ugh,and the rest of the week is no bargain either...I want my 90 drgrees back.
Aero, your pal is fortunate, and I wish her well. Going through that myself, I know what that means..Yay for her.
Today, we have a Drs visit for Bruce, with his surgeon, and I hope we get a date, so we will know what lies ahead..
Lucy came over, and had questions about Cody, and both kids asked if we would be getting another dog...I couldn't answer NO fast enough. Our two remaining poochies, will be our status quo
Make it a good one.

A warm low 80's degree day with sun in NW Ohio. Of course, the chance for thunderstorms loom. Oh well, I'll take the sun and warmth when I can.
Another doctor appointment yesterday!! It is so not comforting to hear the doctor say (while looking at your bloodwork) " hmm, that's interesting." Last time I heard that was when I had a DVT in the opposite leg from which I had surgery (and a DVT in the surgery leg). So, more bloodwork, a biopsy to be scheduled along with a routine to get me off warfarin for a short time covered by heparin injections. Ugh!
RD - I know what you mean about the wait for doctors. Yesterday, he wanted to see me back in six weeks - I don't think so! It is scheduled for 5-24 but I intend to move it to within a week of the biopsy!
Todd - take care and don't overdo
Luanne - aren't the terrible two's fun!!!! My 18 month old puppy still finds things she shouldn't - most recent is a nest of tiny baby bunnies!
Mike - I had a 9 year old "puppy" hugging my bed last night!
Aerogirl - such good news; I hope the best for your friend
Trip - sorry about Cody - it is very hard to lose a furry baby!
Good morning! We're getting the rain that Pasadena got yesterday. Wet or not, Keith and I toured the Pasadena Showcase House. It was a washout. First of all, the rain, we didn't like the house, and I had a difficult time with all the stairs. The house was a Spanish Revival built in 1927 and is 6430 sq. ft., although it felt bigger to me. We've toured these houses, and the ones at Christmas, for many years. Looks like I'm getting too old do walk it any more, which saddens me.
Keith wants to go to the gym and I have errands to run, so best get started.
