Morning Mates, from a miserable, wet Pictou county. Don't know if I'll be going for my walk later this morning, not unless this rain lets up....
Had a productive day yesterday, got a lot of gardening done, well, weeding and cleaning anyway. It's not looking so neglected anymore..
Also had a surprise visit from an old friend from Montreal, who has been living in neighbouring New Brunswick for the past year.
She and her husband are soon moving to Nova Scotia for a job, and were checking out the town about 45 mins. away and decided to come see us. Haven't seen her in over 3 years, it was just like old times! It will be nice having her closer for more frequent visits back and forth, and we've even talked about cruising together in the future!
What a great weekend we had. Spent 3 days in Akron, Ohio at the Ohio Square Dance convention. Was good to see some old friends and make some new ones. It was a busy weekend but oh so much fun. I did manage to get unpacked and some laundry started last night so will need to finish that up today. I have a meeting with some clients at 11 so housework will start after that.
Sun is shining and d/h has left for golf so I better get moving. Have a few items to get ready for the meeting so hope all who follow have a great day.
Good morning. Mr. Sun is sleeping in this morning, as I did.
Keith and I went to Sunday lunch which made me sick. Whatever it was stuck around all day. I seem to be on the mend today. Keith plans to go to the gym and I have house work to do. I look forward to DWTS tonight.
DD#2 is done! Diploma signed and everything. I have two daughters, both hold doctorates!! Not bad for a clerical employee (in the past) and a factory worker!! So glad they both have educations in something worthwhile to keep them employed! Another month and DD#2 will be married and off on her own (w/ husband)!
DH worked second shift yesterday (12 hours) and then started his Monday with another 8 hours. So, he is now in bed for the day. So glad to have him back in a work shift that is more conductive of a real life - I hate second shift work (afternoons/evenings).
It is to be in the upper 70's today with showers/thunderstorms. A wet day for sure and Mia (older dog) will be camping out in the bathroom, next to the tub. Holly (younger dog) doesn't have a care in the world and will be bouncing all over.
Yesterday the weather was fantastic and I spent the day visiting my Mom.
Have a nice day folks.
