Morning Mates, despite the weather mavens predicting rain for most of the maritimes today, it is dawning a beautiful sunny Sunday here in Pictou County.
I hope it warms up accordingly, because I will be out on the Ship Hector all morning with tourists. Yeah, they convinced me to come in for 1 shift on my weekend off, I don't mind really, I like it there!
Yesterday was a gorgeous weather day, and I spent the afternoon with a ship acquaintance who not only fed me a delicious lunch on the patio, but gave me a "tour" of her spectacular gardens, and taught me a lot about plants, how they grow, and where to plant them. Then she graciously gave me dozens of cuttings for my own garden! Now I have to find the time to weed and plant some new growth!
Well, I'd better get some breakfast and be off - have a good Sunday all!
Good morning Donna and all those to follow. It is a beautiful day in Texas, but the temps are creeping upward.
Yesterday we went to Sam's to stock up, and they had large rugs on sale. The one I picked out looks so good on the livingroom floor.
We have only been going to Sam's for about a month, but I really like the fact that I can get so many discounts, and reduce our grocery bill. We don't have a Sam's near by, so we plan to go once a month.
I don't have a lot planned for today. Watering the grass this morning, and then church, and then rest.
Maybe a bit of clearing here today, in our rainy weekend..watch out Donna, it may be heading your way.
Today we are in week 3, of getting the kitchen wallpapered, I had to order some more paper. I'm glad I selected a paper I knew would be easier to hang, since I now know, old people have no business doing it Looks good no pattern, just texture. I/ve been looking for accessories of apple green, my new accent color.
Bruce is making a spagetti sauce, to add to the Sunday craziness, so I could ve drooling while I paper
Make it a good one.
Trip, with her book & tea!

Good morning mates. It's a quiet Sunday morning here. I keep telling myself that I'm going to start doing my Leslie Sansone workouts again now that I can, and I keep on just thinking about it.
I talked to my mom yesterday. I think I've got her agreed to stop giving the packes of pictures away. I'm going to wait until my aunt comes back from vacation and ask her to go around and get as many of them back as she can from that side of the family. Mom only gave one out to the other side.
I talked to my mother yesterday. As you may or may not know, she is in a care facility in MN because she suffers from dementia. The first thing she said was that they had taken out her tonsils. Would they do that to a 95-yr.-old woman? She certainly didn't sound like
it! I just played along with it and told her she sounded fine. She said, "Well, that's good!"
No plans for today except the crossword in the Los Angeles Times.
Good afternoon from sunny hot Florida. At least the humidity level is down and the rain showers have cleared out for a day or so.
What a difference a week makes! Last weekend was our move into our new 3 bedroom, 2 bath updated condo here at the same complex. Next time someone offers to help, I have now learned to say yes. I didn't know that I could hurt and ache in so many places. At least the movers did the big stuff, and Jake really worked his buns off too.
We closed on the sale of our other condo on Tues., and now will spend a few weeks enjoying our new place before our drive back up to WI for the summer.
Think I'll go check up on the good morning posts that I missed the last week or so.
As Phyll said, it's warm but not humid. Here in in Palm Coast we are getting a nice sea breeze and it's quite comfortable.
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.

I have my A/C running like the wind and my ceiling fans on! This is definitely summertime in south Texas! I do my best to conserve and be "green" with my light bulbs and such, however, I can't seem to stand much above 78 for the setting on the A/C.
Donna, isn't it fun to meet nice, new people?? That sounds like a great person you met there!!
Phyl: I hate moving and bless you for having to do it right now when it's so hot! I know what you mean by aching all over after a move. After my last move, I vowed never to move again!!!
Judy, I'm so sorry about your Mom. I'm sure I would do the same thing if I were you - play along. I mean, what else could you really say? May God bless you for being there for her.
Moiraine: So glad you are having your aunt help you. So many of us try to take everything on ourselves - to our own detriment.
Trip, you are so brave for doing your own wallpaper. If I tried to do my own..It would wind up looking like a shriveling old piece of fruit..or possibly a really messed up origami "art piece."
Not much going on with me today..Just getting mentally ready to take on the doctors visit tomorrow with "doctor jerkwad" ..as he is so famously known locally. That little twit better be nice to me!!
Oh, btw - my strict diet is working. The pounds are just melting off..
