Default Poetry

Aside from Paul B ,are there are poets amongst us or people fond of poetry ? If so who is your favorite poet ?

I started to write poetry in college and I'm still writing (not the same poem) .

I posted one of my poems on CM earlier this year .

Several CM regulars ( Todd,Manuel, "Venice") have read some of my published poems and short stories .

I write poems too. Not great but they make me happy. I have a blog that features my poems and the poems of the great authors. I also have a section for poems in my forum. Not well attended but I put in poems that I wrote and some of my favorites from the classic poets. Whatever I see that suits my mood at the time. I encourage the members to do the same but no one ever does.
I have always had an interest in poetry. As a kid growing up in Massachusetts I spent countless hours in the library reading the poems of the great masters. I carried home huge volumes of poetry to read. Nerdy kid! I guess in this day and age poetry is not considered to be "cool" but in my heart it will always be. I have a friend who writes wonderful poems. She maintains a lovely website. I go there a lot. I find her site to be relaxing.

Talking Poetry

Kipling!

My wife hates him. Hers is T S Elliot.

I will admit I do like Old Possum (CATS!)
