Cute names for dogs

I met a dog and his human this afternoon .The dogs name was Moofy .I think its a great name .

What do you think is a great name for a dog ?

Gosh Henry, there are probably thousands. But the one I most remember was the one we gave our Shepherd back when I was very young, Mitzi. BTW, we had at the same time a mixed breed, mostly collie named Rusty (his color). Rusty lived to 21 which is quite advanced for a dog.

Did you iknow a dog has a split skull? We didn't until my older brother when he was very young hit Rusty in the head with something. One half of his upper skull was always depressed. The Vet said it did him no harm simply because of the split skull!

I think that Moofy is a name in a class of its own .When I hear Mitzi my first thought is Mitzi Gaynor .

You're absolutely correct. But your question was simply a "cute" name for a dog. I think a Shepherd named Mitzi is precious.

Years ago we had a golden retriever we named Kitty.

It was great fun standing in the dog park yelling Here Kitty, Kitty, and having a big furry dog come running up. Amused others in the park too.

I wanted to name my dog stay. That way when I directed my dog to Come to me the command would be Come Stay. But I was out voted but my hubby and we went with Buddy Boy and Maggie instead.

That is a great name. Hey if you name a black dog Midnight should you name a white dog Noon?

Last week, a neighbor and his 5 year old daughter walked by with a Sharpei puppy - adorable. I asked the little girl it's name and she said, "Squishy". I asked why she named him that and she said, as she picked him up and hugged him, "Because he's so Squishy!".

Thought that was a perfect name!

My mutts name is Tyson. He was rescued, so we didnt name him, but we did keep his name. The name is apropriate because hes half Boxer (and half Labrador), and, well, hes also black.... but... He hasnt bitten anyones ear off, yet.

I grew up with a long line of dogs with the name Bear or Lady. I guess they were family names. As we got older and helped name our dogs we had an Angel as well...she was NOT as her name would imply!

Now that I am "grown up" and have my own dogs, I like using human names. I've have had a Sampson, Sadie, Charlie, Tobie and still have a Jackie.

I saw an adorable Golden Retriever on facebook yesterday, cuddling a kitten, and the dog's name was Thomas O'Malley Flufferpants!
I thought that was kinda cute...

Our 11 1/2 year old miniature dachshund´s name is "Knock-Knock" and our friend Priscilla has a poodle named "YoYo." We call Priscilla "Yoyo Ma" but unfortunately she doesn´t play the cello.
