On past CM group cruises, I do recall once where we did a CruiseMates trivia sheet, but it didn't work out that well.

Perhaps an oddity, perhaps not... but the vast majority of participants in our group cruises in the past have been people who rarely, if ever, post on the message boards.

There are a number of people (besides the CM hosts) who have been on more than a dozen of our group cruises, without more than the very occassional post on the boards.

I think most of them read the materials on the site, and follow the message boards by reading along once in awhile.

But, they book primarily because they know the group cruises we do are always fun, and they can choose how much they want to participate in any planned "group activities".

I'd say "CM gossip" would take up less than 1 % of anyone's time during the cruise. It's more about enjoying the cruise, the company, and the conversations about everyone's lives; not the goings on on the message boards.

If you were a fly on the wall, you would see we usually take over some tables at the aft, and usually as the day progresses, you can find a group of us, chit chatting away. During breakfast & lunch the crowd increases, then wains, as people go about their sea day whatever.

With some of our larger groups, their can be friends of friends of friends, who have booked with us, knowing what fun group we are. With such a diverse group as we get, the discusiions are lively on so many subjects, it's a pleasure to be part of a CM'ers cruise

Everybody decides what to do or not to do...no body is joined at the hip, and it's so nice to give a wave as you see a new friend onboard.....

Ya gotta try one.
