Morning Mates, it's Hump Day already and I am having a busy week, despite being finished with work.
Last night's TOPS meeting was fun with our end-of-season pot luck dinner. We were supposed to bring healthy choices so I made up 30 of these cute little Butterfly Snacks since they were such a great success at last week's kids' party:
Using whole grain, zero trans fat Goldfish, and fresh grapes, they are a nice little snack, and so easy to make using Dollar Store clothespins and a bent pipecleaner. You can put in any kind of snack, Cheerios, or raisins, or in my case, Gluten-Free Honey Nut Chex cereal.
Today I'm back at the Ship Hector for another "Tim's Tour"; a busload of kids from the Tim Hortons Summer Camp about 45 mins. away.
Yesterday's and today's group are French speaking so I will be doing the tour in French.
Tonight is Trivia Night, always fun to look forward to!
Whoa, guess we are the early ones today, RD. Although it is no longer early here!. To get to low 90's today and over 100 tomorrow. I guess the dogs and I won't be sitting outside later tomorrow!!
Not much happening. At all. Almost boring me to tears. I am doing up a load of vacations clothes. They needed a "freshing up" so, a quick wash and dry and then folding to fit into suitcase. Ugh, I don't like to pack even though it means fun a coming!
My little Holly is with me in the office. She is stretched out in front of the fans! Smart little doggie!
Donna, those look yummy!! You're sooo creative!
Haimia, try and keep cool today!
The weather here isn't too bad, cloudy and only 19, but supposed to be getting very hot and humid by the end of the week and going to be VERY hot and humid for our Canada Day long weekend! Glad we have a pool to cool off in!
My thoughts are with Trip and her hubby Bruce today as he has his surgery, I pray things go well for him and he recovers quickly.
Todd, I sure hope we hear from you today, it's been a few days, I've also been wondering how you've been, you're also in my prayers.
Wishing all the "Breeze" cruisers calm seas and tons of fun!!
Surgery yesterday went ok save for the anesthesiologist forcing the tube down my small throat. I can hardly speak today and throat on fire/very raw. Taking it easy today - have a friend here helping me so that is great!! Change bandages 2-3 times a day. Lots of cat naps..Hard to get comfortable. That's about it.
Haimia, thank you for thinking of me..I hope you are having a happy, "feeling good" day.
Haimia: I'm not a lover of packing either..except for my snorkel gear...Packing that gets me excited about the trip!! I start peering through my prescription lens goggles and thinking about all those tropical fish I'm going to see..Of course I give everything a good cleaning too before I pack...I like everything fresh too...Including snorkel gear!! Anti-fog spray can be invaluable for those goggles...
