Morning Mates, it's Thursday already and this week is fast coming to a close.
The weather is exceptional again, a bit cooler, but sunshine all around.
Watching the news footage of Isaac's wrath, and hoping all of you in his path are safe...

I'm off to an aquafit class this morning and to visit another doggie. I'll let you know what happens..

Good morning to all Cruisemates.

It's going to be a hot one today with a high over 100F predicted. It will be an "inside" day today and will probably spend the day house cleaning. Yuck! It doesn't look that bad.

Tomorrow, Betty and I will head downtown for the Labor Day weekend and spend it at our favorite hotel. We are part of a club that gives us free weekends two or three times a year. They are usually on low occupancy days like holidays and Winter weekends but what the heck, it's a nice room and it's free. (Except for parking and room service.) I went ahead and booked dinner for tomorrow evening at "the" restaurant in Minneapolis. The owner/chef is a James Bear award winner (so are a couple hundred others ) but my neighbor went there a couple of weeks ago and said it was the best meal he's ever paid for anywhere. Pretty high praise from a Delta Airlines Captain who's been all over the world. We'll see how it goes. Betty is excited to have lunch on Saturday at a little "hole in the wall" Vietnamese place where she can get Bun Cha and jasmine rice for $7. She also can't wait for December when she get it in Vietnam.

Well, there is a vacuum with my name on it and it's waiting. A Mike's work is never done.

I can move today! My back went out on Sat. and I have not been able to move until yesterday. A good friend recommended a therapist who worked on his back so I called. Luckily the lady could get me in and although it was very painfull it worked. Today I am pain free and can move!
We moved our departure for the weekend until tomorrow morning instead of this afternoon since I have not been able to get things loaded in the motorhome. D/H and I will do that today so we will be able to leave first thing tomorrow. I think I have everything ready for the Alaska trip so once we get home Monday we can load the luggage in the car and be ready to head North on Tuesday morning. Seems like only yesterday we started planning this trip and bam it is here.
