I'm not sure but those person who do not send in a thread or contribute to a thread do not count toward the total audience count which advertising rates are based. In other words, Paul's and every editor's efforts are not rewarded in the form of revenue which keeps the site alive. It's like those people who watch and enjoy Public Broadcasting System great shows and do not contribute to keeping PBS on the air.
I think that "lurkers" prefer term "browsers" should just say something nice about the site and compliment all of the wonderful information sources that are available.
Actually, I might be wrong about revenue generation information. But this email is not meant to be criticism Cruisemates a form of capitalism and free enterprise that does not have a government subsidy or a loan - yet!!!

Yes i will post when we return...this will be my first time out of miami...we are staying 1 night in hollywood beach my old stomping ground...then i thought i would drive thru south beach on the way to the port maybe stop for lunch there (if i can park lol)...it will be a monday so may be easy..any one know of a place for lunch that we girls may like maybe a people watching type place that reflects being in south beach?...thank you for your help ..also is it easy to get to the port from south beach?..we will be using the parking garage at the port..
So after one week and 199 views, exactly one lurker (er, browser) has posted.

Hello everyone, I said i would post opon return so here i am...we had a blast on the imagination (first time on her ,my co-worker and myself she is 49 and me well umm 54...shhh)...the second show living in the usa was fabulous the other show shout was go also but i;m not much into oldies...the ship was a happy well kept ship...the clubs and lounges were full of energy..the parking and boarding was easy ..long walk to the ship after getting checked in but very doable...food great...i found a few slot machines i was very fond of...didn't lose or win much but almost broke even......staying hollywood beach 1 night before cruise was so worth it the water there was perfect and eautiful...would do this one again!!
Dreamers, welcome back! So glad you enjoyed the cruise,and good to hear the ship is in good condition! Researching & planning another, will get you through the post cruise depression

I wish i could plan ahead but for me 2 months out is the farthest i can predict, i do think after easter and again in oct. seem to be my best time to get away...so i will be keeping an eye out and hoping!...thank you for asking!!
I have been a member for a number of years but, basically, I am too lazy to log on, and I don't frequent the boards when I am not booked, it's too depressing. But...My DW and I are booked with her parents for 8 days on the Norwegian Jade to the Greek Islands and Turkey next July! I will try to log on and be part of the conversation.

Welcome Frank from here in upper East Tennessee and I think I write for all when I state I'm looking forward to your impressions of the cruising experience. Warning! Frequent visitors to this website will not only get you hooked on the site but as time passes the people (especially our regulars to this particular thread) will become like Family and will do everything possible to help you vis-a-vis where to stay prior to the cruise as well as best bang for your buck. There will be someone in this community who has sailed on whatever ship or line you sail.
Oh, and unlike some other websites our evaluations and answers to your question are never made to steer you to a particular ship or line unless you request such info and then you'll get all the opinion you want.
Just check the morning post if you wish and I truly mean it that in no time you'll be part of our unique family. The support afforded me when my wife died unexpectedly as we all figured she had about four years left (cancer), I don't know what I would have done without this family and that is what it is........FAMILY!

I guess I am a newbie . My name is Guy . I live in New Jersey now but I have lived in California ,Texas and New York . I have recently retired and plan to do my first cruise in 2013 with my wife . We have been together nearly 48 years so I guess that makes us old fogeys .
I thought this place was all about cruises and traveling but I see people also discuss politics . Although I go back to when FDR was President I really have no desire to discuss politics ao maybe this is not the place for me . If I just ask cruise questions or talk about my travels will people be angry if I do not discuiss politics ?

Thank you .I was about to say thank you sir but I thgink you are a woman .
We have traveled all over the world but never by boat . My wife leaves all the planning and research to me .
I am thinking of cruising to places we never went to . We live prtetty close to the cruiseport in NJ and not that far from NY so I think there are alot of options .
We currently have two children who also have never cruised and my thinking is to maybe do something with them.
If we go as a couple or two couples can we get adjoining cabins ?
Can we get a table of four in restaurants ?
For a first cruise is it better ro do a long or a short cruise ?
Also what are the things herte that say like ?
