Here in central Connecticut we have about 4-5" on the ground. It is still snowing slightly at 0515. We are around 14 miles west of Hartford.
I'd go out and measure, but.....
South of us some 14-15 miles, they got hit hard, with towns like Cheshire, Meriden and Wallingford reporting 8-10". Most of you won't know where they are but Manuel will. You can Google Map them to get an idea if you want.
The amounts took evereyone by surprise. They were saying maybe 5" or 6" at most. Apparently a band of snow came in and stalled.
It should be out by late morning early afternoon and they are predicting temps in the 50's tomorrow.
I will work from home today rather than drive the 20 miles to work over back roads. We never lost power during Sandy, and so are in good shape.
Two weeks from today we will be approaching St. Maartin aboard the GTS Summit. It can't come soon enough.
Stay warm and safe my fellow New Englanders, and have a good day all.
