I grew up near ther but it has been many years since I have been there. I would recommend going to Salem Mass. There is so much history to be seen there. The House of Seven Gables is interesting. Salem is famous for the Witch Trials and have many interesting tours connected to that. There is a Maritime Museum there also. This link will give you some ideas. Salem Massachusetts - Sites and Attractions Attractions I hope this helps.

I have not been there in years, and that was a pass through, but I did do a little reseach, and all I could find to do was three things, and two involved heavy walking, and good weather, and I didn't think that would work for you.

I did notice that Salem hotels were recommended, so if it's close, that is a great place to visit, even for a day.

I hope you have a good, safe trip.

Since it is only 17 miles from Andover to Salem I did not think it would cause a problem. Sorry.
