Morning Mates, there's a lot of fuss being made online about today being 12-12-12, but to me, it's just another Wednesday.
Which means, ice skating in the morning, work in the afternoon, and trivia tonight!
Weather is still very un-December-like, mild with no snow. I'll take it!
Good morning everyone from a very cold Texas. 18 degrees is not something we are use to.
Today I woke up to the news that there is no school today. Although I am no longer teaching, I still keep up with my friends on FB. The bomb threats started about two weeks ago. One day it would be the high school, and the next would be at the Jr High. In all, including yesterday, there have been eleven of them. Four or five have been arrested, but the threats have not stopped. It has placed the community on edge, so now a day off, to rethink what needs to be done. This is really hard on our special needs kids, who do not understand why they are locked out of their classrooms. This has to be a cry for help, but it is hard to understand what can be done. I sure hope they come up with an answer.
Most of our students are military. They have seen years and years of deployments, and now the gloom of the "cliff" We also have many homeless, where mom or dad were put out of the military, because of illiness from the wars, and not having any other place to go. It is really sad.
I ask for your good thoughts and prayers for our community.
Today is what I call beauty day. Hair, nails, etc. I sure need it.

Well, yesterday's plans got shot to he** but it worked out well, anyway. I got a lot done in the afternoon and evening. I am looking forward to seeing my daughter later this week.
Good morning. Yep, it's just another Wednesday, albeit a cold and overcast one. Ma Nature is getting ready to rain on us.
The news on the cancer front is good. I talked to the oncologist's nurse yesterday. Turns out I must take the cancer drug for another two years because I started it late after the radiation. By law, since the dr. has prescribed a drug, I must see him once a year for a follow up as long as I take the drug. I must also have a breast exam every six months. The good news is that I have passed the five year mark, so I am an official cancer survivor. To say that I am grateful, doesn't cover it.
The new coffee maker makes really good coffee, and it smells good, too. I will go have a cup. I will try to Christmas shop later if it's not raining.
All the talk about cold weather makes realize that I will be going to Ct. next week.
Here in Palm Coast, Fl. it's just summer weather, we are having a warm front from the south and my AC is on.
Luanne, I do send send good thoughts and prayers to your community nad to others in difficult situations.

Good morning cruisemates!! Running late as our computers crashed and now they are back up. Luanne, we all need to pray for God to defeat the evil one and help our country return to its Providencial foundings. Crime is becoming a result of jokes! Copycats abound and I place blame for bomb threats and shootings on the outlandish video games. Pray, pray and pray.
Houston weather was in the lower 30s, high 20s this am and no rain expected until this weekend. I wish I were in Cozumel or St. Thomas right now.
