Upgrade fairy still alive kinda...

David and I have been waiting patiently for our cabin assignment for our cruise leaving this coming Sunday on the Nieuw Amsterdam. We had booked a fully obstructed oceanview (now that´s an oxymoron lol) category HH cabin.

Finally yesterday our cabin was assigned. We were upgraded to category D outside with no obstruction. It is not a fabulous upgrade but it will do nicely.

We cannot complain given our cruise fare was only $449 per person for seven days!

Yahoo. We are in Mexico City today and will be flying to Fort Lauderdale this afternoon. We´ll spend three nights with our good cruising buddies Terry and Phoebe in Port St Lucie and then we will sail off on Sunday! Can´t wait!

I just got an e-mail from my T.A. and Holland America offered us a 39 dollar p.p. upgrade to a balcony on a first come first served basis.

Sooooo I guess the upgrade fairy is in deed alive and working in the salea department.

I'm not sure if our response was fast enough but time will tell. I should hear back from my T.A. very soon!
