I saw it today; somewhat disappointed. I am glad they have brought in material from the appendices so it acts as a proper precursor to LOTR but I did not like the long drawn out dwarf-humour nor a lot of other lines just played for laughs. The riddling scene with gollum was way too long.
I an glad i saw it in 2D instead of 3D (or HFR 3D) as the camera was a bit much; I imagine it would have been annoying in 3D.
