Sunday Morning

Mourning Mates....oooh, that was a Freudian slip if I ever saw one. Really, it is a Sunday of mourning, now that the list of names has been released, somehow it makes it all that more real...and so, so tragic.

We got some snow yesterday, I think Griffin was in shock, he tried to walk around the yard keeping his feet off the ground, funny sight!
Today we are hosting a Christmas Open House for some friends; the weather is good, cold, but no storms, so everyone will make it.
They will be able to find our house by the purple decorations on the tree outside....



This will be Griffin's 1st experience with a bunch of guests in the house, I really hope he doesn't make a pain of himself. I will have to keep everyone's shoes, boots, hats, gloves, scarves in a locked room! He is so naughty!

Houston is in the low 70s with rain in the area. We need the rain.

Hi Kids,
Going to be a messy day as we head into the afternoon,and I guess this week will be more of the same. Looks like I will be in the house till Thursday, when I have a Drs.appt. ugh.....

The magnitude of this tragedy, continues,as they are now showing the face & names of these angel babies on tv. One little girl, with her bright red hair, just stands out in my mind, as she & Lucy have this in common;( The more I see on tv, the sadder I get. The picture of the shooter, to my mind, looks like a skull, does anyone else see this?Another shooting incident in Newport Beach CA, was also on the news...

Think I need to turn off the tv....

Good morning everyone from a gloomy Brownwood Texas. It is still warm, so it should be summer clothes weather today.

Well, this weekend has been very good for Jim. For those of you who have not heard, Jim is here to hunt deer. He then pays to have the meat processed, and then gives to families in our community, who don't have money for food. He was able to get two deer yesterday, so the back of our truck is loaded with coolers with much needed meat.

This morning they are trying to get another, before we have to leave.

I have to pack us up, as soon as I am awake enough not to run into walls.

This is been a very sucessful weekend, but I am ready to get back home, and hug my son.

Our hearts are still heavy, but my "black" cloud has lifted, and I realize we must carry on, and try to make a difference in someone's life.

Donna, Thinking of Griffin makes me smile. Thanks for that.

Today I feel blessed to have my son and my daughters alive and well. I am looking forward to spending Christmas with them.

I pray for all the families who have lost children and I hope that God gives them the strength to endure.

Trip, I thought the same thing about the shooter's picture. Just an evil, scary feeling comes over me!
