Morning Mates, the local school board has called a Snow Day today, but there is NO SNOW! It is very very windy, and there is a lot of snow happening in New Brunswick this morning, but in our area, nothing yet. I guess they want to be prepared just in case it gets bad later in the day....rural bus routes and all that. It is so mild here right now, if anything falls it will probably be rain....
I don't mind the day off, except that I don't get paid, so that is a bummer....
I will probably go ice skating this morning, then enjoy a relaxing day at home. If the snow doesn't happen, I will be out for trivia night tonight!
Good morning Donna and all to follow. An unexpected day off is great except... when it is an unpaid day. Today's weather is expected to be in the upper 70's and a chance of rain. Otherwise, it is my "friday" and I look forward to sleeping in tomorrow.

There is no snow here today. We are at 65 degrees, and started our second day of record breaking temps.
I have no idea why I am up this early, but sleep was not meant to be.
Last night Jim and I finished all the wrapping of the presents, and today I will get out the last of the cards, and that will be the end of my duties.
We had three more bomb threats yesterday, and they didn't clear the schools. I am so afraid this will be the crying wolf story. My prayers are for our babies in this comunity.
Today I have very little planned. I need to get out in the yard to work, but won't make any promises.

I was going to run around to do some errands, but decided to consolidate it all into tomorrow. It seems Tennessee has some laws, that mean I need fo find a notary for legal papers, with my sister's passing. The notary I sleep with said, I should find another! So I will clean out the fridge for the massive foodshopping that will come tonight. My list is looooonngg!
Luanne, I can't understand the mentality of those who think these "pranks" are fun. They just caught a 12 years old, in CA, who called in all those swat pranks on celebs..unreal;(

We have about 4 inches of snow at 7,800 ft. here in Colorado.
I just installed a new Davis weather station for the camp yesterday. It is telling me that it is 10 degrees outside It also says the humidity outside is 88%, it is still snowing, and the barometer is at 29.92 and rising. I am going to fool around with this today and see if I can get live updates on the web site.
I have to run into town this morning. I usually takes about an hour to get into town but it will take longer today.
Morning from the Pacific Northwest.........the snow came & went......still some in the state but not around us............
Not too much going on today......just staying warm.......the temps have dropped some.......
Trip........good idea about finding another notary......... Ya know how some states can be........ But I do know what ya mean about legal papers for a passing family member......
It has and will continue to be a busy day here. Was afraid I would not be up to it today as yesterday was a bust! Had some kind of crud and did abosolutly nothing all day. Feeling much better now. I put the grandkids on the bus this morning for their last day before the Christmas break. At noon I will be going to the pre-school class party where my youngest grandaughter attends. She was so excited this morning. Neither her Mom or Dad could attend due to their work so Mamaw will be their. Once the party is over parents can take the kids home, I think that is the main reason she wanted me to come so she could be here for awhile with just Papaw & I.
Tomorrow they will both spend the day with me along with our 8 yr old great-niece who is visiting from Florida. It will be a wild day here with a 4, 8 & 9 yr old playing. I am hoping to see if they want to make cookies so that will take up some time. I love having them here.
Donna, sorry you are missing a pay day but try to enjoy the day off.
LuAnne, what has gotten into people. Children should not have to be scared to go to school. The same issue came up at a school not far from us on Monday. It has to stop!

Good Morning cruisemates! A unusual cool day in Scottsdale, with highs only hitting my high 50s.
Just finished "swiffing" the condo floors. We're having friends over for brunch today, so the floors were my job. Mrs. Kuki took care of all the hard stuff.
I had given her a crepe maker for Hannukah and she's fallen in love with it, so today we're having "everything crepe"
Then tonight it's out to dinner with friends at an Italian restaurant they highly recommend. Since I LOVE Italian food, I'm all in!!
Good morning. Our rainy days have turned into sunny days but it's still cold.
I sent out all our Christmas cards yesterday. Now starts the wrapping. Keith and I have errands to run, as well. Last night, we enjoyed teriaki steaks made on our new BBQ.
