Default Leeward Islanda

Has anyone sailed or vacationed in the Leeward Islands. Nevis, St Bart's St Kitts? If so how did you like it? Was one of them your favorite and if yes why. I'm going to be sailing the islands Jan 2014 and am trying to find out what people have to say about them.

Our original plan was to sail the southern Bahamas but the weather there looks to be a little cooler than what were looking for so we decided on the leeward islands instead.

Robin,
This is an interesting itinerary. I have not been to any of these ports, and it's piquing my interest What ship?

I am surprised to see Nevis as a port of call..It's a small wealthy island, and, & I have not seen it showcased anywhere recently. As for St Barts, my gf was in SB,and paid a fortune for lunch,[$36.00] at one of the cafe's. Celebrities love this port, with $$ shops.

Then you are one of the celebrities! How fabulous....! Kelly Ripa as well as Regis, have raved about Nevis, they stayed at The Four Seasons. This will be a cruise of a lifetime!

The only one of those I have been to is St. Kitts....went to a beach, turtle beach, where there were these monkeys that you could feed. It was also very close to Nevis...It was, however a good 45 minute ride from the port, but an interesting day...This cruise sounds FAB!

Trip your right this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I'm very excited. It will be my two regular cruise buddies as well as my sister and two other close friends. I will be sure to take lots of pictures when the time comes.
I honestly would rather cruise around the southern Bahamas to place like Cat Cay and all the other little islands but the water and air temps seem to be a little cool in January or at least that's what I've read.
I'm far from rich nor a fancy type of person so the upper crust people that will be there is a turn off to me. I may have to look at other destinations.

Robin, do you have the ability to select ports on the cruise? Don't discount these beautiful ports.. you will see them form a unique vantage point, others never will.....Also check out Anguilla, if you have input, or Jost Van Dyke..the Soggy Dollar Bar is infamous

I'm writing it down and yes we pick the islands we want to visit. I would like to do the Virgin Islands but the person who's flipping for the trip did those island on her last charter. At this point were trying to nail down exactly where to go and since it's for my birthday I get to chooses but I know she would rather not do the VI again. Such problems, right?
Thanks!
