Morning Mates, it's the last Friday of the year!
Yesterday we had a bit of a snowstorm but only ended up with about 2 cms in our area before it turned to freezing rain - it is still very mild. My step-son left while it was still clear, on his way back to Montreal, but he had to stop at a hotel in St. John New Brunswick because of the blizzard conditions. Montreal was even worse apparently, they got a record breaking 45 cms of snow in one day and the city is paralyzed. Here's a pic:
I'm sure glad I'm not there anymore!
Today, it's clear enough here, I'm going to aquafitness, then maybe hit the stores, I have a gift certificate to spend!
Mike, welcome home and congrats on already booking your next cruise!
Bright & chilly here today. We got not a drop of snow, but we did have rain. They say we will get our share, Sunday. I called my store yeterday to find it closed...mybo live on the NH border, so, they got hit hard.
Last night, my little reunion of 14 women, was a delight. We chatted like magpies Here is a shot of our group.Today is Lucy's B day, so, I better go wrap her goodies...Make it a good one.
Trip, with her book & tea!

We are in the 20's today. Our 5+ inches of snow is here to stay the way the forecast looks. We may add to it tonight and tomorrow, but only 1-2 inches.
I got to go out in the mess yesterday. Had infusion, errands, etc. Spent most of last night feeling yucky, but better this morning.
Not much happening around here. We plan a meal out with the kids/husbands for Sunday and then going to see lights at a zoo. That will be our big outing for the end of the year. Not sure, but nothing planned for new years. We usually stay in on amatuer night!
RD - that looks wicked cold and nasty in Montreal
Luanne - enjoy your weekend in Brownwood
Trip - what a nice group!
Hope all have a good weekend and a great new year!
Good Morning cruisemates! 43 degrees in the desert this morning. It's been a chilly for a few days, and today will reach a high of 59. (better than the 10 below zero that's been getting reported from home though).
This winter weather pattern seems to be covering much of the country.
We've been very busy, with many friends in town, so lots of golf and lots of eating.
Friend is having a cocktail party tonight, but I'm taking the rest of the day "off" to just relax and do nothing.
Good morning mates. It's cold here with snow on the ground. Nothing on the agenda for today. I hope someone will go to the store. I'm going to take the dog for a walk. She'll be happy. Have a good day all.
We saw "Anything Goes" in Los Angeles yesterday. Absolutely wonderful! Took thirty minutes to get to Los Angeles and would have taken almost two hours to get home, since the play lets out at 5 p.m. Instead, we spent a harrowing thirty minutes getting to Pasadena for dinner at Houston's.
I slept very poorly last night and I'm sneezing as I type this. I think a nap will be part of my day. I did have some Christmas cleanup on my agenda. We'll see.
Had a very nice day yesterday. Met frinds for a mex lunch. Went got a pedicure. I feel so good in the lower parts. She dug a bunch of crap out from under my toe nails.
Still in Gladstone, mo. Having fun. Eating, sitting watching TV inside. Too cold to go out much. We leave driving back home next Wednesday. Taking the St Louis, Nashville, Atlantic route. Hope the weather is good and no snow to delay us. Spending 2 nights on the road to make it slow and easy.
I hope all our Cruisemates had a very MERRY CHIRISTMAS and gonna have A HAPPY NEW YEAR when it gets here.
Will be glad to get back to warm FLORIDA weather.
Cruising on Royal Princess: April, 25 2015. Transatlantic: Port Everglades to Southampton
all we have here is rain ,rain and more rain, we have springs up in places that have,nt been seen in living memeroy, some nasty land slides along the cliffes,
most of the cliffe walks are close as they are so unsafe. roads look like rivers in places, and to-night its blowing a gale.
