Morning Mates, we are getting clobbered by a winter storm that started at 6 a.m. yesterday, snowed all day, changed to freezing rain last night, and back to heavy snow today. Expecting anywhere from 20-40 cms in total.
Needless to say, schools are closed today so no work for me...
Emma and Griffin love the snow, and love to run and play together while outside. Unfortunately, the snow is now deeper than Griffin is high, and this is what he looks like when he comes inside....
Last night and this morning I had to give him a warm bath to defrost him!
Well I am going to enjoy my bonus weekend day off, snuggle up on the couch with a good book. Happy Monday!
Good morning Donna, "Snowball" and all the Cruisemates to follow.
Donna, I remember those days. When I was a kid we had a "mop" dog that would have the same problem as Griffin. We did the same thing and put her in the laundry tub with warm water to get the snow "dingle berries" off of her coat.
We had a couple of inches of snow yesterday and last night. I was up at 5:00 a.m. so I blew the driveway. My snow blower is acting up and running rough so I may have to check out what is going on. I'll try the easy fix first and throw some Sea Foam in the gas and see what that does. It's acting like the carb is clogging and that should clean out the jets and get any water that may have condensed in the tank.
Today is wash day and once Sleeping Beauty awakens I'll start washing clothes. We have already sorted out the stuff that needs to go to the cleaners so we'll have to go there and then to the bank. Otherwise that's it.
I hope everyone has a great day and a fantastic week.
Take care,
Mike

We too had a few inches of snow overnight and it confirmed that I no longer want to spend my winter in Chicago once D/S get out of high school..... I'm going to become a Florida snowbird! This also has a great perk....being closer to the cruise ports!

We got a few inches that was still falling during rush hour, took double the time to get to work, but by the time it was time to drive home, roads just wet...We have more to come tomorrow, but later in the AM, so hopefully I can get to work without the nasty roads...
