Good morning cruisemates! I am watching the Magic and the Mariner struggle to dock in Galveston as the winds are from the south, which is hitting the ships broadside, and is the direction in which they must slide in order to dock. Winds are steady at 20+ knots and gusting to 40 knots.

Here in Houston, the weather is somewhat balmy at 70F and very windy as well. Rain is in the air but not heavy.

Have a great day!!

Morning Michael and all Mates to follow...the winds are pretty strong around here too, gusting up to 70 or 80 km/h. We are experiencing Round Two of this winter storm, day two of a raging blizzard; it is still snowing and blowing, and everything is is cancelled including all church services in the area.

We are settling in for another snow day, just relaxing, reading and staying cozy and warm. Thank goodness the power has stayed on thoughout! I hope the rest of you in the path of this storm have fared as well.

Hi Kids,
Bright & sunny and cold here in Beantown. Bruce went out to the supermarket, and lo and behold, there was not ONE loaf of bread on the shelves.

We are shoveled out, with nowhere to go,and I'm good with that. This is the 5th worst storm in Boston, but from my vantage point, on the couch, it's not that bad!

We had a travel band, and NY didn't, and the difference is obvious with part of the Long Island Expressway still littered with cars. Next Saturday, coiuld bring anither storm..oy!

Reading, and such is on my agenda today...you make it a good one.

It is windy and 17 degrees with a wind chill of 2 here at 8,000' in NOCO.

We had a little snow yesterday and last night but only a few inches.

I hope everyone affected by the Eastern storms will be OK. It looks like the weather patterns have you in their bulls-eye.

Good morning everyone:

Now that all of the East Coast folk are digging out we are hunkering down for "SNOWMAGEDDON 13. This time it's real."

The freezing rain has started and will turn over to snow somewhere around noon with around 6" to 10" expected. I just don't like that it's starting out as freezing rain and will end up as a heavy wet snow. It will be like snow blowing a Slurpy.

We had a fun day yesterday with shopping and a night out at a pizza place that I didn't know existed until I hit the Internet looking for gluten free pizza. The grandkids wanted pizza and I did too. I wasn't going to get Domino's. They have the worst regular and gluten free pizza. This new place is only a few miles from our house and it was WONDERFUL in flavor. I porked out on a 12" pizza and 10 chicken wings. I was stuffed and I am paying for it today. Though the food was gluten free it wasn't sodium free and I have bloated up like a Macy's Thanksgiving Balloon. It's diurese day for me so it's a good thing we'll be staying home.

I hope all of the East Coast people came through with no major problems and I hope everyone has a great Sunday and a wonderful rest of the week.

Take care,
Mike

Hey folks!

We are currently at 46, high reaching high 50's here in Atlanta. You big snow folks take care and stay warm. It's been so rainy here for the last few weeks that yesterday's bright warm weather made us all giddy!

Haven't been around in a long time, nice to see so many familiar names and faces.

P.s. And I'm ever so sad that having not posted for so long I have lost my status. I'm back to being a new member. That's what I get for being gone so long, eh?

Duct Tape Pro is in Washington state attending college! The 2,700 miles away from home thing bothers me WAY more than it does him! I'm hoping to cruise sometime this year with the hubby, now that we have settled into our empty nest status. Great to see you!

Good afternoon everyone from a sunny Texas. I just woke up, because the storm last night kept the dogs up, and so they kept me up too.

Not much planned for today, but laziness.

Dorothy, So glad to hear from you again. I hope you stay around for awhile.

Glad to see that everyone in the North East are doing okay.

Take care,

Luanne

Afternoon mates. I'm sitting around with the other half and kid, who surprised her parents by showing up on Friday afternoon from college to spend the weekend. I'd sent her some early Valentine's flowers that day because she'll be gone next week on a field trip. She'd left before the flowers got to her. Oh well, her roomie got them and they will be there this evening when she gets there. Mom got out of the hospital yesterday and should be moving in with me this week. Let the good times roll.

After the blizzard you must be in a mood for a cruise.
