I'll admit, I sometimes enjoy the casinos a little longer than I should have. Here is a tip to know it might be time to cash it in and call it a night; they start bringing you complementary items. It could be a hat, a deck of cards or even a very nice embroidered polo. In my case it was all of the above and a little more. Hey, I'll be the first to admit that it was on my own volition. I just wanted to give a heads up to some of newer cruisers. By the way, the polo is of excellent quality, I always tell everyone, it the most expensive free item I own. Anyone else have a story to tell?

Ya, the casino "freebees" can be costly But, the various cruise lines do have "Player's Clubs" where they will rate you, and indeed you don't have to lose to qualify ( though the odds are certainly on the side of the casino).
The time you spend gambling and your average bet, can qualify you for only the logo merchandise gifts, and free drinks, but also for discounts on future cruises, or - if you are a big enough player - even "free" cruises.
