Morning Mates, it is a bright and sunny, if cold, Monday morning with a lot more snow than we had on Friday! Estimates are around 30+ cms, and guess what? After a sunny day, more snow is moving in tonight, 5-10cms with high winds once again...
At least Griffin enjoyed the snow we had this weekend...
Today is indoor walking day around the pool; with the heat and the turquoise pool water I can pretend I'm in the Caribbean.;)
Then it's off to work where it will be fun to take the kids out to play in the snow.
You guys stay warm and safe with all that white stuff!
We had a inch or two of snow in the CO mountains. It is now 8 degrees out and it is supposed to be a cold day.
We had planned on working felling dead burnt trees today, may have to rethink that.
Good morning everyone:
We are also "post-storm". It wasn't anything like Donna or the folks on the east coast had to deal with but we ended up with about 7" of snow. The bad part was that it started as rain, then freezing rain and sleet and then turned over to snow. Now there is a slick undercoating of ice on the roads.
The grandkids didn't go home last night because of the weather and their school is two hours late so Betty and I will take them in a little while. They knew last night that their schools would be starting late but did that give them motivation to sleep in? No. They were up at 6 a.m. wanting breakfast and to watch cartoons in grandma and grandpa's bed. What the heck. It makes for nice memories but grandpa was forced out of bed and put on breakfast duty in about five minutes. :)
Well: I have to start getting the little ones ready. Or at least tell them to get ready and then we have a 30 mile trek to take them to school.
Donna: Enjoy the warm pool.
Mars: Watch out for those falling trees.
To all: I hope you have a great Monday and wonderful upcoming week that's full of pleasant surprises.
Good morning Mates
I remember storms such as the blizzard of 78, but I don't miss seeing snow at all.
It's nicer to have flowers and herbs growing in the backyard than to have to shovel snow.
I do wish that everyone in the path of winter storms stays safe.
Raining here but it is 38 degrees .I am gazing out my picture window .
Morning from the Pacific Northwest.......not much change in the weather here......
It's Monday.......so that means laundry.......
Thinking of all ya East coasters........stay warm & safe........
Y'all have a good day...........
Good Morning cruisemates! A YUCK day for weather in Scottsdale, with temps in the 40s and highs maybe into the mid 50s.
It has been kind of a iffy winter for weather here in the desert, and seemingly in many spots on the continent.
Think I'm gonna make it an indoor day, which probably means I'll be washing floors and doing laundry, while Mrs Kuki laughs at me.
We're supposed to be back in the 70s by Wed. Hope so, because we have a large influx of visitors coming in next week.
Monday Post Storm
Good morning It's bright and sunny here with warmer weather to come. Always a good thought.
Keith plans to go to the gym and I have house work to do. Isn't that exciting?:)
The mail brought us yet another notice of a planned power outage from Edison. It will be Friday that we will be forced out of our homes from 5:30(!) a.m. to 6 p.m. Don't know what we will do, but Palm Springs sounds great! Cheaper than Newport Beach, too.
Have a good day.
Anybody heard from Todd?
